The idea to make this thread came from this thread, and which I actually thought was about until I read the OP.

As a child, I always found newsstations so boring. But recently I've gotten more of an interest of what happens around me. So, yes, I do follow what happens in the world on a regular basis, almost daily were it not for those few days where I thought that nothing was going to happen, so didn't bother checking.

Nah...It takes even longer than 5 days for me to realize something happened...

The only news I really follow is environmental and economic news.

I don't do it intentionally. Like, for some reason whenever I turn off the TV, it automatically switches to one of the local news channels, so that is what is on when I switch the TV on. But once I start watching it, I get very into it and can't turn the channel.

I wish I was forced to watch Channel 1 everyday like in high school. That was where I got all my information before. 🤣

All the time. The first thing I do when I wake up is turn on CNN. The last thing I do at night before I sleep is turn off CNN. At work I constantly check Huffpo. I knew about the Bush shoe-throwing incident even before the video came out. I'm a total news junkie, and it's the geekiest thing ever. XD People can ask me anything, from the cholera outbreak in Nigeria to the riot in Greece. The world is an interesting place.

Quote from Dr. Love

I knew people would think that~
But from some reason I don't care much about whoever reading/watching the news. 🤣

So, to answer your question: I don't. (I'm more interested in the individual peoples' stories)
As a child I always loved reading the newspaper. I don't know how it's where you live, but here there are a lot of stories about people, and other things.
I never liked the news regarding politics. It never interested me watching/reading some old bunch of idiots arguing about politics and coming to idiotic decsions (again, I mean in the country where I live).

It's the same now. I read the newspaper just for the stories, and the idiotic stuff this country does. Not about politics.
Recently, there was a big commotion about the president here. I couldn't care less. I just flipped to the next pages.

I don't read/watch much about the news worldwide unless they are in the newspaper.
I also never watch news on TV.

Yep, I'm sooo unti. Feel free to criticize me. 🤣

I usually check on the local newspaper's web page, don't have a TV.

I actually used to watch the news on a regular basis (or at least check online for the big headlines). Then, during the Presidential Primaries this past year, I went into news overload and now get all my news second-hand from my mom and brother.

Yes.

1/3 of the channels on my cable subscription are news channels, and half my browser bookmarks are dedicated to news as well.

World events, economics, anti-govt blogs, independent sites, speculative blogs, human rights blogs, sports, technology, satirical comedy, IRC....etc.

Spend like 30 minutes to an hour at the beginning of my day just checking up on news.

i never read the paper or watch the news. the only way i find out about something, is when people from work start talking about it. over here, there is a problem with the prices and stuff. i only found out yesterday about it 🤨
