Yes, daily. Mostly from assorted webpages, but I'll occasionally watch a news program or two on TV.

NightSwan also said that she wanted to peg me, once, but I'm not sure whether to take that as a compliment or a threat...

I'm a little wary about getting bias information or getting information that is conveyed in a bias way.So I picked "sometimes"?

Every day...
But it's not like you'll really miss out anything if you dont check the news daily. It's terrorists, terrorists, some local crime, more terrorists,..etc. >_>

I use to watch the news on tv and read the paper daily. Now I only watch the news only a few times a week. I agree that you really don't miss much. It's all the same after a while.

i watch the news every meal, and having google news as my homepage also increases my awareness of the world...i think it's very important to be aware of the things happening around the world, since we're living in one of the most important period of the world's history...all sort of interesting things are happening throughout the world everyday, and as the internet and the media are the two most important agents for globalization, it should be everyone's best interest to make use of those tools in order to keep in touch with the rest of the world....
it's been the iraq war everyday from 2003-2007 and the economy crisis for this year 🤢
In my European history class we discuss current events so I kinda gotta pay attention to the news. Msnbc ftw lol. And plus it would suck to miss things like Bush getting a shoe thrown at him, no?
Forever lurking...

you have no chance of missing that as long as you don't live in a cage or something like that. 🤣 even at MU there was a discussion for that. (don't know if it is locked or not)

We discuss those sort of things too! And it's kinda hard not too listen in our class because our teacher will just make it so funny...(yeah, AP Euro's fun). OMG~ my teacher told us about Bush getting a shoe thrown at him! yeah, we make fun of Bush a lot 😀
We've been discussing about todays' economy a lot too...

Yes.
1/3 of the channels on my cable subscription are news channels, and half my browser bookmarks are dedicated to news as well.
World events, economics, anti-govt blogs, independent sites, speculative blogs, human rights blogs, sports, technology, satirical comedy, IRC....etc.
Spend like 30 minutes to an hour at the beginning of my day just checking up on news.
I'm pretty much the same...and I like to read newspapers while drinking my morning coffee (now if only we had that newspapers delivery thing)
If the sea were made of Whiskey and I was a duck
I'd swim to the bottom and never come up
