As long as I don't see it sticking out from your clothes or through see-through clothes no matter what the female looks like, it's fine. One time at the mall this girl was wearing a see-through white skirt with a blue thong...

As far as I'm concerned, underwear should only be seen in the bedroom, not walking around on the street. That includes males who wear their jeans as if they were falling off their butt.

These are both a no-no IMO, trousers should cover the butt, that's what they're for.
Pulling the sides of the thong until they're above the level of the hip-bone is wrong too...
Aside from that, I think thongs are pretty much ok and in some cases hot. 😉
