My point still stands, but I prefer 2 old men or 2 young men together in yaoi. I don't mind younger and older mix though. I'm still not in danger of advocating real-life pedophilia.

Yaoi has more than one definition and no one can claim theirs is right. I use the word yaoi the same way the Japanese use BL so to me Okane ga nai and Gakuen Heaven are both yaoi.

I just get annoyed when people who know nothing of shounen-ai and yaoi make claims of certain series.
Example: I had a friend who was disgusted that I read Loveless, stating that I was reading "yaoi." Since the series is in no way yaoi, I tried to inform him that it was shounen-ai, which is not nearly as graphic. Unfortunately, he's extremely stubborn and close-minded, so he didn't believe me when I told him that shounen-ai and yaoi were two completely different things until another person backed me up. It was ridiculous.
yeah, people shouldn't be like this with things they don't understand.
There IS a differance between yaoi and shounen-ai.. So I'm annoyed too when people relate/say them as the same thing.
But people just back of and let everybody to enjoy whatever they want..

Oh..I didnt know there was a difference between the two..nice to know.. I had always classified series as "hard core yaoi" and "cute yaoi"..lolz.. I guess I'm more into shounen ai compared to yaoi..it still scares me a little.. 😲 but that'll probably change soon enough.. 😉
So..Silver Diamond (if youve read it..) is shouned ai and Gravitation is yaoi? Do I have it right? 😕
Anyways..at first I had thought yaoi and the like was weird gross and thought I was weird for being drawn to it but now Im like.."what!? you dont like BL?! abomination!!" lolz.. 😁 I just figured..to each his/her own..right.. 😛
