Yes. I want some of manga with genre slice of life/tragedy/romance/shoujo and slightly the character (main hero or heroine) that have some disease and illness. Anything is fine. As long as it's not :-

a. smut
b. yaoi
c. shounen-ai

I'm using this kind of manga as a research for my novel. Hope you guys can help! ^_^

Kind of a left field suggestion, but in Onihime VS, the main character's illness is central to the plot.

Another one I can think of off hand is Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer, but I haven't read it in a while, so I don't know how the main heroine's illness affects the outcome of the story.

Both aforementioned are Seinen, though.

Full Moon wo Sagashite.

I don't really like Arina Tanemura, but she's a hell of a lot better than Shinjou Mayu when it comes to characters.
