Hello. I'm a new one and I dont know if I'm doing things right or not... I'm sorry if I'm being a bother.
I'm a student in Japanese and I've got lessons of history of manga...
Here's my problem:
I have to prepare an expound on the representation/allegory of strangers in shoujo/josei mangas (if possible from 1970/1980).
[quite the subject isn't?]
And quite the problem since I'm not really familiar with shojo/josei (I'm more into seinen/shounen).
Could you recommend me some shojo/josei mangas with interesting representation of strangers? It's better for me but you're not obligated to recommend manga from 1970/1980, you can also show me some mangas from recent times.
Ho yeah, it can be the representation of strangers in japan or in their countries.
And if you've got any ideas of why the strangers or/and their particularities are represented... Be my guest, I'll be pretty interested by hearing your point of view. It may help me in my work.
I'm already reading some mangas from 1970/1980 like:
Versailles no Bara
Aishite Knight
Candy Candy
Lady Georgie
Poe no Ichizoku
Natsu e no Tobira
Thanks for your help.
PS: Sorry if I make some mistakes with my english. It's not my first language.

Banana Fish from the 1980s follows a japanese reporter, Eiji, coming to America, so I guess he would be considered a stranger.
Do you mean stranger as in someone who is from a foreign country, or stranger as in outsider--someone who is a deviant or nonconformist to society?
For the latter definition, obviously Oscar in Versailles no Bara fits. I would also add Eroica from Eroica Yori Ai O Komete, and if you want any a bit earlier, Tezuka's Ribbon no Kishi with Princess Sapphire probably fits as well.
