It's all in the details. For instance, I'd rather get shot in the head with an AK-47 than get ass-raped coupled with a venereal disease and/or, if I was a girl, impregnated. rape is a bias option, since i doubt that any male would feel the pain when being rape by a woman (your dick would feel a bit sore if the woman is extremely violent)...for the woman, however, it is excruciatingly painful (especially for young girls hunted by pedophiles)...also, if a girl was savagely raped at a very young age, there might be lasting damage to her reproductive organ, thus leaving her unable to have children....i don't think the emotional scar of being raped for a guy is as great as a girl...

murder is obviously worse...physically painful....emotionally, if you could see who murdered you, you might either feel a shock of betrayal towards someone you know, or just surprise towards a stranger...if you died without the knowledge of your killer, you'd probably feel anger at whoever killed you...

It's really difficult to choose.
While rape affects one not only physically but also mentally, murder means everything ends period; thus being alive would be the preferred choice. Then again, some rape victims wished they were dead.

Wow, this left me a full minute staring at the screen. I put murder, but I'm still not sure.

I mean, obviously if you think of the act itself, then murder is definitely worse, since, as someone already said, it's final. It's over.

human are social creature...not being able to communicate with anybody else is probably worse than any other types of torture...you'd eventually head to insanity in an environment where you had the fortune of social interaction, then was ripped away to be place in loneliness and isolation...that is why tom hanks interacted with "wilson" the volleyball when being cast away to an isolated island in the movie cast away....that is why will smith befriend with his (extremely loyal, amazingly intelligent, and crazily cute) german sheppard after the zombies took over manhattan in the movie i am legend

however, death, like that many other users before me had compared to, is final... it's the period at the end of a sentence, except that there is no other sentence following it...once dead, you will feel nothing else, you will think of nothing else, you will know of nothing else...whatever emotions you feel while being captive in that little cell surrounded by your own urine & poop, you wouldn't feel while you're dead, but you wouldn't be able to feel anything else either...you wouldn't be able to touch, smell, see, hear, or taste anything else ever again...death is the end of your existence, as you will cease to be ...it may be portrayed as a deep sleep of peace and solitude, but it is no sleep...there won't be any peace or solitude, since you just cease to exist...

it is a thought that scares me to even think about...no matter how great my life was, how tired i am at living, or how much i wish for peace and eternal solitute, i don't think i would commit suicide, since to me, any emotion and surrounding would be better than nothingness

ps to dr. love: i didn't think of guy to guy rapes (must be since i've filtered out yaoi in the release page) in those cases, the guy must've been even more in pain and emotionally scarred than the female...
