Cloud Watching

Cloud watching is just what is sounds like; literally watching clouds roll on by high in the sky. It's one of my favorite relaxation activities. Then the second half is also pretty self explanatory, shapes forming in the clouds by using the clouds and the light and dark areas from the sun
My mom and I, on long drives (and short drives too now that I think about it), would watch the clouds and point out things we see. I remember seeing things like a cloud that looked like the body of a dragon and the head of a bull dog with a collar and pegasus with a rider.
I don't know if it has any significance, but we usually found animal-like things in the clouds… and faces (that part is kinda creepy)… and food. 🤣
Many of the people I have met, think we're crazy. We often point out our findings to others and they may see what we are talking about but it doesn't appeal to them at all, whereas that is commonplace between my mom and I. Even when my mom is driving she'll point something out (of course I freak out every time and scold her to keep her eyes on the road >:-( … role reversal right?). But this is the kind of thing that she did with her grandma.
She'll tell me stories about showing a coworker something in the clouds and they brand her bonkers. In my experience, that kind of innocent imagination isn't found in many adults anymore. Truly disheartening. I think that is why stress builds up so bad in so many; there is no simple, healthy, release being used. I feel totally rejuvenated after a good cloud-watch session! Or when I'm having a terrible day, cloud watching can put my mind at ease so I can get through the day.
^u^ memories.
Now, I'm kinda sounding like a nature-nut but I'm really not. I can get my hands dirty if need be but I prefer to be clean (showers=<3, toilet=<3, microwave=<3, etc. lol).
I will say though, my "Tree Hugger Quote of the Day" (if you will): Nature can be more beautiful than any materialistic possession out there.
So if you have never gone cloud watching before or you've never felt it was necessary, try it. The world is worthy of our notice.
How about you? Favorite cloud shape?
I'm sorry for my long comments... So much stuff going through my head and I think I should share all of it with the world!
Plus, learning other people's opinions of the things I say is addictive to me.
KNOWLEDGE & NONSENSE... It makes the world go round <3

I used to when I was younger. Lieing on a slide watching clouds. Even now I do sometimes when sitting in the car. The main purpose of that is not to feel sick hehe.
But errr, since I'm new...is it okay to post posts not related to anime/manga?

I like cloud watching although it's not something I do often. It's fun and relaxing. I also like finding hidden images in nature and in my general surroundings. Faces and heart shapes are what I tend to keep an eye out for.

It's okay to make non anime/manga posts in the Chatterbox section. Just make sure your post is related to the topic. You can click on the "forums" link on the left side to see the different sections of the forum. And since you're new don't forget to read the rules.
Used to when I was younger, never saw any shape anyway or I am just lacking imagination when it comes to clouds..
But now, I don‘t even look at the sky, but when I do, I often only see a massive collection of clouds that covers the entire sky..

I watch the clouds whenever I am in an airplane(which is like 2-3 times a year). My brother and I find it vastly entertaining. But since I usually hijack the window seat, he doesn't get much of an oppurtunity to do it.
When we were very very young we saw a movie about bears living on clouds(don't even remember it's name) which tickled our imagination and got us started. Its a dwindling interest now.
I often find clouds to be in the shape of different countries, states etc. Since countries often have really uneven boundaries, it is not a difficult task. More often I find them to be shaped like faces or animals. I have one heck of a time imagining a range of faces on the clouds. Its a good technique to prevent sleep on airplanes.
