Pretty good thread, i always find these things interesting.

Anyway, i'm white(english european background) i don't actually see myself going for one particualar race because i like expericing different things. In the past i've dated(other than my own race) hispanics and blacks, haven't gotten with an asian yet though, should date one one of these days. Anyway, the point is that i don't think race actually matters, who you like you like and besides, i don't see alot of differences in other races other than what you know is there.

Thus, i think interraical is good. 🙂

ive dated two people: a girl from india and a girl from japan
this is not enough info to say what my real opinions are

In my case coming from a Caribbean Island (Puerto Rico) I considered myself in terms of attraction to men globalized, if a guy is handsome and intelligent it really doesn't matter which race or ethnicity he comes from. I think that living in a multiracial society helps...TimeManInJail I agree with you 😛

As I said before, there are just some skin colors I am not physically attracted to.

I'm caucasian through and through (Dutch descent).

Canada is a country full of people from every part of the world, so much of my youth was spent among people who came from different countries, spoke different languages, and, obviously, came from a different race. It was very interesting, for instance, when I was first invited to dinner with a traditional Korean family. Or when a friend tried to teach me his native language (it was something African). The kids in my junior high, statistically, spoke more than thirty languages.

I feel like... Why would that bother me? It wouldn't even factor into a relationship.

Everyone I've been attracted to has been either white or Asian, but that's more because I've had little contact with people of other races. I find that whites and Asians have the same cultural values I have (in general, not trying to be racist) and I would prefer that in someone I date.

Then again, I haven't actually ever dated anyone. I'm sure that if a guy of any race were awesome enough, that I'd date them. But honestly speaking statically, how many black and Hispanic math nerds (people I tend to be drawn to...) are there compared to white and Asians? Also, I have a grandmother who once expressed that she was almost afraid of black people, not because of anything they've done, but because they're unfamiliar to her, since she lives in Asia. That would drive me away from them, as I would want my family to approve.

I'm Indian and I've been attracted to white, black, latino, asian. I wouldn't mind dating any of them, and my parents wouldn't mind me marrying any race, but the only condition is that she should be of the same religion (catholic) 😕 I guess catholics are just like that

I don't really judge by skin color and have seen women of any ethnicity that I found attractive and unattractive. Though I recently realized I have a soft spot for attractive asian girls.
The only thing I really judge on is religion. I will never, ever date a girl that is in any form of organised religion and will fullout shun people that are in cults (for example, mormons or scientologists. That's right, where I live, those are considered cults).
I will only date a girl that is either atheist, agnostic or a buddhist (the only religion I respect).

I agree. Religion is a much bigger factor in my relationships over race.

I forgot to mention, also very important (more so than race), taste in music.
I refuse to converse with anyone that listens to 50 cents, gwen stefani, rihanna or anything similar. (which make communicating with two of my three sisters very challenging)

I like the thought of interracial though sadly my disposition is such that I dont get to date guys outside my race. Tried mixed race once but that was so disasterous tht I dont think I'll try it again

I guess it's cuz I can feel more comfortable with them, like someone mentioned before..
But if you reaally like someone, race shouldn't be a problem/factor.
