white guy here, don't really care about who marries who pretty much. but personally i dont really see black women as women in the dating sense of the word. not 100% but pretty much all the time. but outside of that, it's all good, women-wise

i dont think to have understood what you meant o.o' 😕

don't generally find black women attractive, kind of how girls can "friend zone" guys.

atleast it only sounded confusing and racist

i cant believe theres still people who find "choosing the opposite gender by race" to be considered racist.... its more of being mixed with their environment of where they grew up and the media that effected them, and i guess its more of preference... though to be honest if you look at the statistics, white is the more prefered race, but yet again, we're in a country with majority of white, though its less likely to be in the future due to immigration and interracial marriages....
point is i dont see racism in choosing to date someone by race, he said " i dont really see black women as women in the dating sense of the word "... means just that he doesnt find them attrative, doesnt mean hes ganna treat them like dirt in person, i mean just cause you dont see them as someone you would have serious relationship to be with doesnt mean you still cant be friends.... dating someone should be in my opinion mixed with the outer appearances and race mixed with shared hobby, personality, and the thing they can offer to one another... attraction has nothing to do with hatred, its two different things in my opinion at least
I agree. Just because you are attracted to one race more than another in no way makes you racist. Its a personal preference, just like I am more attracted to darker hair, than blonde hair. Am I a hairist now? Do I commit hate crimes against blond hair? No.

I'm korean and although I don't have anything against other races, my family is very traditional and wants me to interact with only koreans. If they found me with a hispanic or black person, they'd be pretty upset. I try to hang with a variety of races at school, but somehow I ended up only having korean friends. Maybe it's just how I was brought up, my family seems pretty content about it. Most koreans refuse to hang out with other races, though. I try, and fail. I guess it's wierd nowadays for other races to hang with other races. Cause everyone only hangs out with they're own race.

not to get off topic, but my best friend is black (i'm white/asian). i find it easier to hang out with those of other races, than with my own race.

I believe it varies on the environmental conditions you were raised with.
My parents are very open people and very...eccentric, so I was raised
to enjoy different cultures and ideas. I beg to differ. I understand it's stereotypical
for some asian cultures to remain within their own cliques--I've seen this happen.
But... I have one Eritrean best friend, one Thai/Chinese, two of Hispanic heritage, one from Bangladesh, one Vietnamese....and a handful of other racial groups
whom I'm close with. I don't even have a filipino friend really...so I disagree
with 'everyone hangs out with their own race.' they do...but not JUST their own race.

That may be, but around my neighborhood different race cliques are very rare.

i dont care about the race of the girl as long as she matches these 2 ideals

 1. she cant be skinny must have some meat on her (unfortunately not alot of asian, not Indians trust me on this we eat high calorie food everyday the only reason im skinny is because food seems to go right through my digestive track, meet this standard)

 2. i can have an intelligent convo with her while backtracking into sheer crazy randomness without her think im crazy

the second one is the hard part i can literally count the women i've met that meet both standards.

trust me even here in Italy (seemingly the home of Arts and Intellectuality all-round: or it is as they depict my country) i have the same problem. Really disappointing and frustrating. 🤢

I can't believe families still care, i'm a white male and polish and while my parents want me to hang out with only polish, it sucks when you live in a world with there being people more interesting then polish. personally my preference usually goes by how long i've known the person maybe a couple months ago, i would have said i have no attraction to black women, but that changed, i like all women (finally happy to reach that point) but besides my point families shouldn't care or tamper since divorce is now a deadly poison in society (sort of) and people break it off easier. So honestly don't care about what others say since your family my soon divorce and it will only prove same ethinic marriage is as dissapointing/great as any other kind.

Well, I'm Hispanic and usually I tend to be attracted to men from every race except Hispanic and I have no idea why.

i think people of the same race as mine are more boring, since they are more alike to me and therefore not as interesting as the other races...it's like forming a nonpolar covalent bond between similar atoms, both atoms are alike and share the bond equally...

some people like to meet others with the same interest as themselves, but i prefer someone who is highly contrasting with me; i like ionic bonds better...the more different the opposite sex is from myself, the more i'm attracted to him....it's obviously not an equal relationship, since one will lose and the other will gain something, but that's not necessary a bad thing, as that makes the relationship a whole lot more interesting...

i'm a lonely cation still searching for my anion ~ 😔

the idea behind the thought of it sounding racist isn't so clean cut as you put it. not everyone is going to put it in simple terms, cause in the end it's the race that's keeping you from dating that person. that's always going to be main point of that sort of argument. you may get it if someone put it in such a way but others might not.

I wonder if using science to describe a fact of love has anything to do with it.
