I'm half asian, half white, and I find it odd that my mom, being the asian, disapproves of any girl I bring home that isn't white. She was actually more cold towards the asian girl I brought home. As for my preferences I'm generally attracted to all women, but I'm more hesitant to move forward with a girl my mom doesn't approve of. I'm sure that when I do choose to marry, race won't play a factor, even for my mother.

I'm hispanic and I don't really find my own race attractive which is odd to me. I tend to go for European or Asian guys. But I really think it would be interesting to date one guy from each race at least once. As for my parents they don't really care what race I date rather what the person is like, but if I were to get married outside of my race my grandmother would disown me as well as my aunts and uncles, but i don't think that would stop me.

Interesting subject...

I'm a black male and I have no preference on dating when it comes to race. However, when it comes to settling down and leaving the game behind, I don't see myself marrying anything but black. Of course, there could come a girl of a different race that blows my mind and makes me want to settle down with her because love at times has no barriers.

I'm not going to say I'm not attracted to other races, because I am, it just in terms of starting a family and settling down, when I tend to think of my future like that, it's a black girl in my mind and I honestly can't explain why. We all have our preferences and as long as their is no hate involved, that should be fine. My friends that happen to be gay are some of the coolest people around, I can hang out with them all the time but I'm not attracted to them. Not because their is anything wrong with them, but because well my preference just happens to be the opposite sex, while theirs isn't. No different then some guys choosing blonds vs redheads or vice versa.

That being said, it interesting to see how some race dynamics plays out because with quite a few of my Asian/Indian female friends, I just knew that I could never ask them out because whether or not they were attracted to me, their families would never approve of it because of my race.
