True, nothing beats a good build up to the main action but when you think about it (if you think like me 😉 ) Ichigo's latest fights have been complete failiures... well not completely but I'm still kinda cranky with the whole captains dominating again which goes against the soul society arc.

I have no clue how the current fraccion fight(s) are going to turn out; it looks more like some episodic battles where the appearance of the characters matters more than the outcome ~ however the 'greater' groups are still mysterious as well.

I say that at some point the whole battle gets into the favour of Aizen's group. Probably because of Aizen & his mates, but before that the Old guy with the staff & flames still needs to do something more besides the barrier. When it gets ugly the vaizards probably arrive... well they do have to at some point right? Ichigo... maybe when it gets really bad? But I'm sure that Orihime still has a deciding roll to play... hopefully not a too gay one though >_>

The highlight of this chapter was Ukitake pwning.

Actually, this was a great chapter.

Not only did Tite break the mundane routine of the Lieutenant fights, he also showed that Fraccions can be that strong, and that characters that have already fought their battle aren't just tossed away and discarded to serve as background scenery.

Ukitake's skill was a nice touch to the chapter, and it's been a long while since Bleach has been so 'violent'. I mean, the chunk he took out of Rangiku... That was awesome! 😲

I don't care for fanservice battles.
I only care about battles that are well executed.

... And I don't want to see Ichigo fight just yet.
Though I do seem to miss the guy for some inexplicable reason. 😐
I think it was a great idea of Tite to take a break of the Ichigo fights
for this, so that we can at least look forward to the Ulquiorra fight.

I don't know why but when I see Ukitake fight or when i saw Ukitake's face when he fight, he reminded me of Fuji in prince of tennis. The look of seriousness and the look of a genius fighter. 😕

am i the only that was actually happy to see the vice-captains being pawned, there is only 3 espada, their fraccion and the traitors left, to take on 7captains, the vaizards, the vice-captains and urahara, tessai and yoruichi, they should'nt be wasting foes with small fry fights, get only captains fighting, and later the vaizards as well, 'cause if vice-captains keep winning their fights, there will be no one left for shinji and co.

she pawned a few enemies before, with the bad guys in stock running low, there is no point for people who had their 15 minutes already of fame to show off again

I think the defeat of Rangiku Matsumoto by the pet "Allon" will make herself realise that she need to become stronger and the only way to do so is master Bankai with her zanpakutō Haineko.

I wouldn't doubt that to be the case since the only way that she'll be able to fight Ichimaru Gin (weather that happens or not remains to be seen) is to obtain Bankai at some point.

And not to go off track but could it be possible that the reason Aizen is so confident is that the remaining espada are just adjuchas and he has Vastro Lordes hiding in the mist unbeknown to everyone else?

As I recall Ikkaku got his ass rather soundly beaten and had to be saved by a captain...she would be the second Shinigami to have "lost" their fight.

SPOILERS!!!

Kira begins to help Hinamori and Rangiku since he is a former member of the 4th division, both girls are in a critical condition.

While this was happening Hisagi was fighting the enemy but he is punched hard in the body and also ends up in a bad condition.

Iba rushes in to help but is attacked instantly. Hisagi was injured badly and got thrown away carelessly.

Allon is preparing to attack Kira but Yama-ji cuts him off with an attack of his own.

Yama-ji: "How shameful, shinigami. Letting the General-Captain fight for them."
