OK ... with the GIANT disappointment called "Dragonball: Evolution", we all know even though it tanked and wasn't true to the manga, it won't be the last anime/manga that will make it over to the US.
**What is the next great anime/manga franchise that will be ruined or have a faithful adaptation created in the US?
Suggestions are welcome to replace or add any series that you feel should be included.** 😕

Since when have you been scanlating / how long have you been scanlating?

Considering that the poll is viewed by people of all ages, what you're suggesting is inappropriate. If you want to know something like that, make a thread in the Adult forum.
Well, it is still only text
and those kids prolly read it
or yaoi anyway.

Sorry if this was already suggested. I was wondering how other fans were thinking. I've seen this topic on the net a lot. In my opinion it would be great, the better of both worlds - anime/manga meets Twilight.
Do you think the Twilight Saga (by Stephenie Meyer) should be turned into and anime/manga?
Defiantly Yes, with more from the book,
Sure but stick to the main movies,
No Way, that's going too far,
Anime Only,
Manga Only,
What's Twilight?
What could be better than manga and anime all day?!

What is your common/general reading method?
- Read each release as soon as it comes out.
- Wait a while and read releases in sets (i.e. volumes).
- Wait until the series is complete before reading.
This kinda leans towards scanlations. If you want to alter this, go right ahead.

I have a poll I'd like to see:
When you rate a scanlated series, do you focus on:
- On the translation
- The number of mistakes made (grammar/spelling/poor editing)
- The scan quality (HQ/MQ/LQ)
- The author's work (like story/plotting/characterization)
- The art
This could be more specific, but after looking at the scoring, I'd personally like to know how people judge a series. I mean, I focus more on the author's work myself, but is that how everyone else judges a series? How much does the other stuff impact their rating?

😲 Are there actually people who rate a series based on the job the scanlator did? That's horrible.
Anyway, we had a poll about how people like SFX to be in a scanlation, so, along those lines:
Do you like common terms to be left in the original language (but in the English alphabet) in scanlations?
- No, I want everything in plain English ("-san" should be "Mr./Mrs.," "itadakimasu" should be "let's eat," "hai" should be "yes")
- Only for the most common terms ("-san," "itadakimasu," "hai," etc.)
- Only for terms that are slightly common but have an inconvenient English meaning (say, like "otsukaresama")
- yes, as much as possible (but within reason, of course)
I apologize if someone's already suggested this.
