Would you rather read manga or watch anime?
Manga, all the time.
Anime, all the time.
I go back and forth.
I like to read both versions of a series, if it's good.

What is your favorite animal to appear in a manga...
I like mangas with a dog.
I like mangas with a cat.
A large fantasy animal such as a dragon or monster.
A small, adorable, quick-witted talking fuzzy fantasy thing.
I like animals to be the main characters.
I like half-human, half-animals as the main characters.
I just like any manga with lots of animals.
I don't care. The current poll, about online manga sites vs. scanlators download sites is really good. Sometimes I really want to read some new release, but the byzantine and convoluted enrollment procedures, not to mention the dead links, of the scanlators usually defeat me, and I end up sad and embittered, much as I love them for their work. 🙂

Wait, wait. That poll suggestion I quote below is good, but I would rephrase it like this:
If others address you, you would prefer to be...
San (Mr., Mrs., Miss, bookseller-san, butcher-san)
Chan (inferring your cuteness, of any age)
Kun (addressing a younger or to the same age, male)
Sama (very respectful, admired or god-like)
Sempai (senior in a group)
Kohai (junior in a group)
Sensei (authority figure, master of a skill)
Hyeongnim (Korean, boss, or a male's older brother) from the original suggestion...This could go on a LOT longer, with oni-san, brother, oba-san, aunt... I was going to try to learn kanji, but soon realized I'd have to learn Japanese first, but it's all too much for my simple brain. I wanted to add some Chinese honorifics to my poll, but it's just insanely complicated. (Someday, a poll about Japanese manners. That's insanely complicated too...)

How about a poll about the Asian Honorific's (Chinese, Japanese and Korean)
Like:
Which do you like best?
Which do you prefer?
In what order do you prefer them?
Which one do you like "the least"
Which one is hardest to deal with?
Which one sounds best?
Which one have you favorit Honorific?Or something like that.
(personally I prefer the Japanese but my favorit is the Korean, especially the -nim)

I am really curious to know how many readers download manga, and of those how many keep or delete it after they've finished reading it. Sorry if this has already been done.
Maybe something like this:
Do you save downloaded manga?
-I don't download manga
-I do download manga, but I always delete it after I've read it
-I keep some series I download and delete others
-I only keep my favorite series
-I keep every manga I download
I download everything that is good and burn it onto a blank cd. You can get about three or four large mangas on a disc. Or ten little ones. I have a shoebox full and growing. When I die it will all go to goodwill and they will wonder what the heck all these mysterious shoeboxes full of cds labeled in mangled japanese words are. P.S. Totally WANT to watch some dramas based on animes. Please suggest some to me.
I can't resist. Here is my poll suggestion. Which Japanese food do you think you would like best?
- Sushi
- Ramen
- Nabe, (sukiyaki, shabu shabu, meat and vegetables cooked at the table in broth on grill or hotplate.)
- Tempura, (deep-fried)
- Oni-giri, (sticky rice shaped into triangles, ideally with various fillings. Fish, sour plums, etc.)
- Bento, (a packed lunch of colorful sections with rolled omelet, rice, veggies, meat)
- Yakitori, (different meats grilled on a stick)
- Okonomiyaki, (meat and veggies fried into a large egg-pancake affair)
- Tofu-dango, (sweet, small, round dumplings rolled in flavorings and served on a stick) You've seen these in every manga ever made, probably.
- Dried eel, (a popular snack ;o)
I'm embarrassed I know so much about Japanese food and so little about say, Noh drama and Kabuki and gardening and obis... Must think more. sigh. I know everything about Toshiro Mifune...

what need to be done for the latest forum problem (i don't have to mention what it is... right)
-make a "mangaupdates for dummies" manga/book filled with pictures of the webpages and colorfull pointer and stuff as a must read for newbie
-the current MU intro threads are enough
-let them be
-something else
