Thoughts on the chapter?

Doesn't seem Kakashi will die yet, just my impresion though. Too much focus on what is happening everywhere so it's just 3 or 4 pages for each part, in short, not much happened. Still good chapter, and more info about Kakashi and Pain.

Agreed. Kishi devoted whole chapters to other major character's deaths, so I highly doubt he would devote a measly 3 pages to one of his most popular characters. It's good to see that ANBU can hold their own against Pein (it's boring if only major characters can do something productive).

and i agree about the Anbu thing, its always nice to see another character that can hold their own, aside from the main cast.

I really hope Kakashi lives.
He should go out with a bang at the very least, not under a pile of rubble in 3-4 measily pages.

Darn. For every character that doesn't die in Bleach, two die in Naruto.

As for the ANBU thing, its only natural they should have some decent moves. They were supposed to be the "elite". Still, three ANBU just barely stopping one summon is pretty pathetic. Stopping only one of the summons hardly means they can hold their own against the summoning Pain.

I was worried about Kakashi as well because Kishi didn't go back to Kakashi after we see him surround/crushed by those rocks. I was trying to see if there was blood on the rock in front of his stomach, to show internal squishing/damage, but I can't see any.

Not to mention there are those slugs going around and reviving people and then there's this weird feeling that Kakashi is about to a boost of power?

And when is Naruto going to get there?

Maybe Kakashi has become too popular. Since the manga is called "Naruto", Kishimoto Masashi has to do something.

Me too don't want Kakashi to die, since he's my most favorite character of the manga. Where is Yamato when you need a powerful character to counter enemies like Pain.

But again Kakashi may survive this, maybe his dad will convince him to return to the living world.

Well, if Kakashi really dies then it means the manga is nearing its ending, since several big and popular characters (e.g. Jiraiya, Orochimaru etc.) have died. And Tsunade may be the next "victim".

And I like how the chapter shifted to many scenes, I'd rather have a more in-dept chapter about Kakashi though. I mean, the chapter's title was "Hatake Kakashi", after all...

lol yeah i was wondering about Konohamaru being there too. i wonder what Kishimoto has planned for him too. it would be rather odd if he ended up doing something major in this battle.

and the thing about naruto not being able to do the fusing thing with the frog...
ughhhhh when will that guy get out of the frog world!?

Maybe before Kakashi dies (if he really has to from Kishimoto), Kakashi will give his Sharingan eye to Konohamaru (maybe with a little help from Sakura or Tsunade), just like Obito did in the past.

That's kinda out there, isn't it?

I don't imagine that Konohamaru has the body or skill for it, tho, Kakashi was a skilled ninja from the start, so the Sharingan only added to his powers, but Konohamaru isn't in that league....

That wouldn't happen in a thousand years. 🤣

Also, I don't think Kubo'll ever elaborate on Rin's death. It probably means she died in some Shinobi mission.

Maybe he'll make a gaiden or extra chap for it someday.
