New Poll - Eating Utensils... or lack of...

You don't lose taste when you lose smell. If you can't smell, the part of "taste" that you lose is flavor. But you keep taste, which are the basic things.. sweet, sour, salty, bitter.. Flavor is the more specific things, like the flavor of an orange. So a person who is eating an orange lollipop will taste the sweetness and know it's a lollipop and all, but they'll have no idea that it's orange-flavored. But hey, no one's expected to think that far ahead.
(I chose to lose smell.)

You cant feel and youll be able to wreck your body but it will open up new possibilities too I think :/
Anyway I wouldn't want to lose my sight, vision or hearing before i've spent a lot of time with the person I'll end up with in the future so If had to relinquish stuff it would be smell.
Also It's awfull to smell garbage and the like so that would help. =)

Well I use them all (well except for the chopsticks), but if you ask me which ones I use more often well it is a combination of my hand and a spoon. 😛

I'm starting to think I should use chopsticks more often since I always eat a bowl of rice yet I use a spoon.

(Even though the quote above is from Hamlet, I first saw it in a Final Fantasy Versus XIII trailer on YouTube ^o^)

I use a fork most often, and it's my preferred utensil, second being my hands.

lol YES, people who understand,
Hands = free, they don't rust (so no need for replacement after a while), you can't lose them, (imagine that "GASP WHERE ARE MY HANDS!!?"), they grow with you so the more you eat as you grow older the more you can eat with one scoop, cheaper to wash, much more the sense of taste into food (YOU TRULY FEEL YOUR FOOD) XD
WHO NEEDS ANYMORE!!?

It makes no difference to me when I use fork, chopsticks, spoon, knife or whatever. I use whichever is used by people I temporarily eat with. We use anything at home both in England and Japan. I still feel uncomfortable touching food with hands but I'm learning to overcome this discomfort. I still can't help but must wrap a tissue around a bun or cake. I like the Philippines way - fork and spoon. That was most fun. Those who say they don't feel right eating noodles with anything but chopsticks are weird. Where does this mentality come from?

Well, we're used to eating noodles with chopsticks so it's feels "not right". People have different ways of eating stuff.

your sense of smell is linked to your sense of taste so if you lose it you kill your sense of taste!
