Is it only me, or does it seem that in every Baseball Manga somebody important to the protagonist dies when they are still young.

Granted my baseball manga experience is pretty limited but so far in Touch (the twin brother), Major (the father), and Cross Game (the childhood friend/girlfriend) all died.

Is there some reason it seems so prevalent? Two of those are also by Adachi Mitsuru, does he usually include sudden deaths in his manga?

It's only you. From the baseball manga I had read probably the ones you mentioned are the only ones I remember where the situation you mentioned happened. And about the Adachi Mitsuru question, I only remember it happening in Touch and Cross game. Still it's not like I had read a lot of baseball manga, but let's say that it's around 3 out of 15.
