I'm looking for manga featuring a calm and capable female lead. The kind of character that is smart, efficient, dependable in a conflict and typically straightforward with her feelings.

Things that would be nice but aren't really necessary:

• some romance :3
• comedy, slice-of-life-ish setting (?)

Things I don't want:

• superbly dense female lead (like that girl in Special A or Haruhi in OHSHC)
• pointless ecchi/smut that distracts from the plot
• relationships with age gaps (like 3 or 4+ years) when there are minors (read: high school girls) involved...

Also, shounen-ai and shoujo-ai are cool but I don't read yaoi/yuri.

If possible, please check my lists before recommending anything. Much thanks in advance.
