Wow... Him and Sahadou are the two most known hentai translators that I'm aware of, and seemingly the two best ones as well. Sad to hear of this.

I dislike hentai but understand lots of people don't. I am torn between feeling happy for myself and sad for others.

Why would you be happy for yourself that a hentai translator is stopping? It just seems bizarre that one would meet this news with happiness rather than indifference if this didn't effect them.

I dislike yaoi, for example, but if one of the best known yaoi translators quit, I wouldn't feel happy; I wouldn't feel sad also, I just wouldn't feel, it would be indifferent to me. Feeling happy for the news means that, contrary to what you proclaim, you "don't feel sad for others", at most you'd feel "guilt for feeling happy for others' sadness".

I'd feel awesome if a yaoi translator did. Yaoi is evil. It should be eliminated from the surface of earth. Yuri is love. (No, I'm totally not biased)

Only 8+ years? Heh, weak. If we went by that I shouldn't have come back to editing after my decade of scanlating.

Oh, and I'm still refusing donations or commissions of any kind cuz manga scanlation is done to share the love and bitch about lacking gratitude. 😉

I didn´t expect to see this pop up as news (but i did expect it to overtake the poll in the view count). I look forward to see where this will go and Mr. lambchopsil said:

Unlicensed translations shouldn´t be behind pay walls on that we all need to agree and i can´t say that i respect Tadanohito´s (or the aforementioned SaHa´s) decisions in regards to the content they chose to translate as Team Koinaka is more my speed but he knows how to typeset like a pro when compared to let´s say the official version of Twilight (KIM Young). Nyuuwaku Yuugi which he scanlated even has some well written tales in there.
So it´s not all trash.
I will further NEVER get why people think that pornographic comics published as such are "evil" as they are clearly marketed and published in a way that children won´t stumble over them in the bookstore. It´s all the shit borderline-H shonen and so on that you should rage about. Or all the rape filled shoujo smut manga 🤢 .
Lastly looking at p0rn (or scans in general) taught me this first and foremost:
"If they cut off one head, two more dicks shall take it's place" and it´s not like the actual hentai manga are going anywhere. You guys have fun and i will grab popcorn.
