Everyone just assumes that, because Soifon is the 2nd Division Captain. And they make the assumption that Soifon got all of Yoruichi's former positions.

I personally like Yoruichi the most out of the non-captain characters. She has all those cool weapons up her sleeves, and she is supposed to be very strong. (I loved it how she already knew the move Soifon "invented.") Finally, she can transform into a cat. (I love cats. They just don't care for me.) I wish she had more fights though and a bigger part in the plot. I mean, her only purpose so far was introduce the group the that fireworks girl, train Ichigo, and then give him a tool for him to use later on. It's disappointing when such a legendary person is just pushed to the side like that.
