I was re-reading the article about the link I shared on the Link of the Day thread (Right here), and it got me thinking: Why are women called sluts and men called players even if they had the same amount of sexual partners?

Personally, I think that it wouldn't matter. As long as they don't contract any STDs and still have sex, then it's fine.

Well it's like some other words that people used to differentiate Men and women.

Just like....
"Cunts" and "Dicks" on men and women! or "Whore" and "MANwhore" or "Bitches" and "Fags".

As for me..I've met a slutty b*tch before....and I HATE her for toying me around!
I hate sluts cuz they're LIARs and Ego-istic...

As for guys who sleeps around with women, they disgusts me.. that's juz my personal point of view..

It's a double standard.

It's a common belief that if a man sleeps around, there is less of a chance for said man to get STD's then for a woman. It's partially true, because men give, and woman receive.
Also if a woman sleeps around then its another belief that she'll be really loose. (partly true as well)

I don't know about other guys, but I'd rather wear a t-shirt that says "Slut" instead of one that says, "Player".

Male Slut just sounds cooler.... but that's just my opinion. 🤣

Whatever rocks your boat.. I do think it's pretty messed up though, that girls who have been with numerous guys are considered sluts, ect.. but for guys, it's a high five and a slap on the back... But personally, I don't judge either gender on how many people they been with...

Though, a sad thing about the sexual double stand is... women tend to be more judgmental of other people's sexual behavior than men... and usually are the one's who tend to bitch about it the most. Ironic? The reason for it... the only thing that even comes to mind why another person's sexual behavior would be anyone else's concern except for that person... jealousy/envy. And not only do people want to attach the label of "slut" and "player" to a person because of their sexual behavior... they also want to somehow relate that to them being liars, cheaters, egotistical... and so on. How a person behaves sexually has anything to do with what kind of person they are... never ceases to amaze me.

I sort of agree with this. Often the women could be seen in control of when they have sex with a man and even though the man might really want it the woman can choose to not do it. So I guess they feel that a woman who has had sexy many times gives it a way too easily and is a "slut" but for a man its seems like a challenge to get the sex and so they feel it is more of an achievement. I still believe it is wrong to use these offensive names as its the persons choice and they can do what they want.

If it looks like a slut, smells like a slut and tastes like a slut, it's probably a slut. Regardless of gender. "Player" is just something made up so as not to get attached to an apparently bad sort of phrase.
