So, I'm bored of all these romance manga that drag on and on with the same 2 leads who obviously love each other but for some reason never hook up.

I'm looking for something where there are actual obstacles in the way. For example, another male who likes the girl the main lead does. Not rivalry as in 20 girls fighting for the same boring kid.

As usual..no shoujo/yaoi/harem please.

Gundam the 08th MS Team (anime) It's realistic compared to the other Gundam series and a large focus is on the romance between the male and female leads who are on the opposite sides of the conflict.

Angel Densetsu - Meh, romance doesn't happen til the end, but still.

And... Tokyo Crazy Paradise - It's a shojo, the art isn't great either but I think it might be one of the things you are lookin for... Can't think of anything else =/
