Probably. It's just a saying though. I wasn't saying you need to be actually fixing something =____=;

What's the point in suggesting something when a similar feature is being used at the moment and is working fine anyway?
You're just suggesting that we change something that really doesn't need to be changed. Kind of pointless.

You wanted some opinions, you got some opinions. People aren't "belittling" you; they're just debating your suggestion, which is completely different... you seem to imply people are personally attacking you. Criticism by the community is to be expected when a suggestion is made. Any time somebody suggests something, a new law or rule or feature, it has to be picked apart by everyone else. It's always possible that nobody will agree, that's just the way it works. That doesn't mean they're belittling you.

Yeah I'm cool with the way it is now. Honestly, the current BBCode is great the way it is. I don't see how it would make anything easier.

Though I'm also one of those who thinks the suggested change is unnecessary, it's a good exercise to try and see things from the opposite viewpoint.

Some people know BBcode, it's easy.

The important word in the previous paragraph is 'some'. There are people who use facebook, twitter, etc. who don't know how to use BBcode. The suggested change doesn't take anything from people that are more knowledgeable, instead only making things easier for those who are not.

Is it so tough to give them some concession?

(probably yes, if I'm in charge of applying the change 🤢 )
