I actually also like how the scar is...

vanishing at the end of his life as a sign for having overcome the past ...in the sequel ova. There are many cool characters with scars and many have a interesting background story on how it happened but Kenshin tops them all by far.

Erm...I hate to break this to you but

Lelouch is officially dead. It was confirmed by Ichiro Okouchi who 'explains that Lelouch's death was the price Lelouch needed to pay to create his better world.'. He's listed as dead in the final death list as well. I loved him to bits but his dying in the end does fit the tone of the anime far better than him secretly surviving.

OMG i totally forgot Allen Walker's cursed scar in D.Gray-man as well, thanks for the reminded robbit. He's defo on my lost as number 2, that scar rocks. It does mean kekashi gets bumped off though, oh well.
