Pachelbel's Canon in D. One of my most favourite songs.

ooo me too...i also love bond's cover of that piece (lullaby)

if youre a cellist, like me, you would despise Canon in D

Really how come? I'm obviously not a cellist or a musician in any way.

Honestly, you don't have to be a cellist/etc.strings-ist to hate Canon in D. It is freaking EVERYWHERE. Don't people ever get tired of hearing that thing?!

I'll admit, it was good maybe the first....twenty times I heard it. After that, anytime I heard it, I felt like smashing my head against the wall.

To keep this post from being completely off-topic, I have discovered a new love! I just recently watched a production of Puccini's Madama Butterfly (on DVD, sadly), and all of the songs were just lovely. smile VERY recommended.

Yann Tiersen - Comtpin d'un autre été: l'apres midi

Beautiful. I heard it today at a school assembly and I got it the moment I got on the computer.

Hmmm...yeah, I don't listen to much Classical music either, but I do love Aaron Copeland. "Appalachian Spring" is good, and "Hoe-Down" from "Rodeo" is my favorite. ^_^

I want to discover more but I find myself listening to the ones I already like...*sigh* They're stuck in my head dead

I haven't tired yet of listening repeatedly to Bach's six suites for solo cello. Here's the most famous movement:
Prelude of the first suite
My favorite is the last suite though.

My sisters are already tired of me playing these movements from the Four Seasons endlessly:

Winter: Allegro non molto
Winter:Largo
Winter:Allegro
Summer:Allegro non molto
Summer: Presto

And I don't know but I always find myself singing or humming "La donna è mobile" when I'm taking a shower LOL. The lyrics is very sexist >_>
