Yeah, but still, that's an average of over 1 manga per day
...maybe it's a lot to me because I read series more than oneshots

Yeah, but that's shounen with a seinen twist. From my experiences, lots of shoujo/josei manga have a slower paced plot (maybe I'm just inexperienced) 😀

I must be a freak then. I've got over 800 shoujo and I've been reading maybe a few months over a year. Then again, I've always been the sort of person that could read a full-length novel in less than a day (took me less than 24 hours to read the last Harry Potter book and that was with sleep).

Umm. As an avid Shoujo-reader,
A lot.
Sloth distracts me from adding them to my lists.
Which is a tad sad. Just a tad.

i finished all 3 books of Lord of the Rings in one day. (makes total 1200 pages i guess) i really should better care of my eyes. but i just can't help myself. when i find something i like i have to finish it right away and then after finishing i feel sorry because it ended. 😔

Shoujo:
Reading List = 38
Complete List = 43
On Hold = 22
Josei:
Reading List = 4
Complete List = 5
On Hold = 1
Lol, comparing to other people, I guess my list is mediocre.
It's surprising though, that I don't have a "favorite" manga in this genre except NANA. 😐

I'm not sure it's comparable 'cause the standard plot type is totally different in a shoujo vs. a shounen. In most shounens, it's very action based, so the plot feels like it's moving fast 'cause it's usually about beating bosses, progressing forward, etc-so the progression can kind of be measured by wins and ultimate goals. the exception is the pure romantic comedy, which usually has a plot as slow as the typical shoujo if it's not a romantic comedy combined with something else (usually sports).
The average shoujo's equivalent of beating the main villain is often the couple getting together or having sex, which isn't as "big" and doesn't have the obvious countable steps that tournament victories or whatever do, so it seems harder for things to feel like they move. Ouran and Perfect Girl Evolution highlight this by being so character based that they often feel more like a collection of side quests than a fully developed manga 'cause the main chars development gets such haphazard focus.
My #'s:
shoujo: 304 (reading) + 379 (complete-lots of oneshots) = 683
josei: 27 (reading) + 40 (complete) = 67
I read manga all the time, and my lists are in the high #'s, so honestly I thought my count would be higher than it is.

446 shoujo... 😢
I'm a guy who "probably" reads more shoujo than an average fangirl... so sad 😔
I think it's just the obsessive geekiness gene rearing it's head, plus judging by your lists the whole liking romance factor, which yeah doesn't show up in shonen/seinen the way it does in shoujo.
