I used to have a great Internet connection where I lived before so I managed to get my ratio up to around 8. For the last two years I've slowly been using up my ratio so now it's.. lets see... checking..

Ratio: 2.504 Uploaded: 4.26 TB Downloaded: 1.70 TB

That's on my main torrent site, the only one I use with ratio:s =)

If I check the stats in utorrent I get: Upload: 6545GB, Download 2060GB, ratio 3.176. Actually better... that was a little unexpected.

My leeching wins over my seeding. 🙁
Cause when I seed, it slows my internet down.
so i just exit after finishing. >__<
But I do occasionally leave my computer on all night to seed.

I'm a leech when it comes to that, I don't even know how to check my stats... >.>

But, i delete as soon as its done downloading, and close the program, so no sharing for me.

I'm a bad filer sharer.

snort Ya leeches, you should be ashamed of yourselves. 🤣

Now I know why it's so easy to get my ratio up high for most files. 🙄

utorrent = help > show statistics. If you're not using utorrent then you should start.

On uTorrent I have 182 GB uploaded and 142 GB downloaded. Don't know what my ratio was for Azureus since I uninstalled it, but it was probably around the same.

uTorrent isn't my main client since I use a Mac mostly. But Transmission has a ratio counter too...
DL: 150.2gb UL: 1.00TB so a ratio of 6.83

But since I haven't always and don't always use that client, I have numbers like
"Uploaded: 1.55 TB Downloaded: 185.84 GB Ratio: 8.56" on one site and
"r: 7.065 u: 507.36 gb d: 71.81 gb" on another...

Sharing is caring. 😛

21.1 GB Downloaded
3.176 Ratio

I think that's pretty good. I don't even intentionally try to seed. I just forget to delete the torrent or leave the window open after I finish. So sometimes it's like:

216MB Downloaded
1.34 GB Uploaded

When I lived on a college campus and my connection sucked, I didn't seed as much per torrent as I do now (though I downloaded a lot more torrents then). Either way, I always keep a torrent running until it hits at least a 1.0 ratio, and usually feel bad unless I let it go till 2-3. Sometimes on the connection I had in the dorms it would take way too long to get it up that high and I would end up cutting it at 1.0, but now that I actually have a nice connection (yay FiOS) I generally seed until I need the bandwidth for another torrent 😀 These are by far the most extreme case, but on Dattebayo torrents, they're usually done for within 10-15 minutes, but I leave them seeding for days (also, I leave my computer on 24/7) so it's not unusual to see a ratio of 20-40 on those. And, no, I didn't miss a decimal point in those numbers 😛

My ratio in Transmission is a 3.07 at the moment, with 736.0 GB uploaded and 239.5 GB downloaded. Pretty decent I'd say. I seed everything for as long as it stays on my computer.
