.hack//SIGN i really didn't know where does the category anime belong and i heard the manga was already out so can someone tell me the order to watch it? really old anime and i forgot to finish it so please tell me which one to watch first >_<

I think your confusing .hack//SIGN with .hack//XXXX. .hack//XXXX is the manga that takes place in the first 4 instalments of the .hack seiries. I'm almost 100% sure that there is no manga that takes place during .hack//SIGN.

.hack//SIGN was the one with the grey-haired kid who couldn't get out of the game right. This one doesn't have a manga.
.hack//Dusk (or Legend of the Twilight) is where a brother and sister wins a contest for a legendary avatar, but the World has major glitches.
.hack//Roots (the newest addition of the .hack series) is where the main character loses someone to a legendary Player Killer (PK). Its manga is called .hack//G.U.+. The manga is much better.

.hack//G.U. game is way better than manga and anime combined.
But yeah, there's no manga for the duration of .hack//sign, there are doujins about it but that's it.

hack.sign is the prequel of the first hack arc (the game still in first version), where hack.roots takes places after a disaster in the game company and new version of the game is launched.
despite GU is better than the old .hack games. Hack/sign is actually lot more interesting than hack/root, and also I like the music in hack/sign, no ali_project please XD
