I say Ichigo and not just because he's the Hero. I know everything in the manga so far says he has a bankai, but the only other person who has a sword even a little like him is Kenpachi, and he can't unseal his sword. I don't think Ichigo's is a bankai. I think its his shikai and it is possible he has not one, but two more levels two his sword. A true bankai and then an ability to merge with his zanpakto like the arrancar. Still this is all just speculation. Also have ideas on Aizen and Gin but that's for another post.

in response to crimsonfive's comment, i agree but i think that ichigo's bankai is incomplete. note the broken chains at the end of his zanpakuto. the sword is named tensa zangetzu - heavenly chains moon slicer, not broken chains moon slicer. so his bankai probably has yet to evolve.
unrelated but does anyone else feel that aizen is not the real bad guy, like maybe ichigo's dad?

I actually thought that as welll. I'm pretty sure everyone knows it's not his complete bankai and hopefully there is more than one level to his true form, what's the fun in just one. And if Bleach turns as typical as every shounen out there he'll most likely discover a new form through training/searching for himself like he did in the SS arc or if he's in a death defying match and well he goes insane, thus his bankai will evolve, I go with the latter though.

If that really did happen I think I would love Tite Kubo ten times more right now! Major plot twist! But I would really love to see a father-son battle we've never seen Ichi's dad in a real battle as of yet...one can only hope.

Doesn't the actual power of the bankai come from the users reiatsu...the strongest person has the strongest bankai and didn't Yamamoto say that Aizens power was one of a kind or unique? I think the shape and powers of the shikai and bankai actually come from the individuals beliefs and methods of cooping with death. Zangetsu looks the way he does because thats Ichigo's idea of strength, a calm, mysterious person cloaked in black. That probably comes from his mother's death and how be blames himself for it...his personality changed then. He also said that he acts the way he does intentionally to create an image. Kenpachi's represents his ideals of strength and how he handicaps himself in fights to make them more enjoyable. That is most important to him. He and his sword also don't have a name. Whatshisname from squad 11 5th seat...his actualy shikai is rose vines that suck away reiatsu and makes him more pretty...thats his spirituality of sorts.

KENPACHI: ....honestly...a Shinigami who strikes down his enemys without knowing his Zanpakuto's Name ist just awesome..i think if he ever releases his Banka, Son-Goku from Dragonball might be Burning for a meet and fight xD (joke)
But i imagine he could Split the World in half.

I'm going to go with Urahara.
But I think Shinji's and Yama-jii's Bankais will be pretty damn strong as well.

Anitime it will be Zaraki Kenpachi he has lods of Raitsu may be equal 2 ichigo in his released from, so if Zaraki release his bankai n all ohh man it will be a hell of a match.... if he fights 😕 ?? 😎
