So I just figured it wasn't working properly, since as it is now you've got to search twice 😐 Remember that it worked like a normal quick search earlier. Uhh, I'm talking about that "Manga Search" function up in the top right corner btw

It's actually to lower the load on the server. Before, we had real slowdowns because people used the search feature too often, so we had to change the structure of the searches and narrow it down more (through the user) so that the site wouldn't crash

It is a quest though. Gotta keep it clean from people like you (although interestingly enough, I'm not the one who disciplined your recent actions, but I would've done the same thing if I was awake at the time)

I voted incorrect info, and I meant on the series pages more than manga releases (never noticed one there). It annoys me because I feel compelled to correct them when I should go out and have a RL instead... 😀
Lack of new site features came second, I'm a list freak, I need more possible lists.... moooore... 🤢

But I really like this site, it's not meant as complains, but just ways to improve.

Really?? I never would have guessed. I couldn't think of a good reason why it wouldn't be there, so I always thought it was just broken. Is it because you don't think it's necessary, so it's just extra work to put it there, or it uses up extra space?
I didn't know that the global search was taken down on purpose either... that one makes sense though; I can easily see how it could be too much burden on the server.

Nailed it--I would want them for precisely that reason: to avoid them and to avoid having to click on them to check. Of course, I don't have that many series on my unfinished list, that's why it's not a big deal to me. But, what about people who have a lot of series on their unfinished list? It could be annoying for them.
Hmm... now I really want to know the real reason why the icon isn't there... would you mind telling me?

While we are a manga information website, we are primarily a website about scanlated manga. Unscanlated manga series are okay, but there are just too many other stuff to sort through if it's not going to be scanlated.

Once it is scanlated, feel free to add the information.

However, if it is licensed, go ahead and add it!

I also think this rule has made the database less useful...

I suppose there must be a lot of people from asian countries that also used the database to keep track of their manga (and especially when it comes to doujinshi and one-shots, that it's more easy to forget once you have read them).

I also remember how easy it was following certain authors in the older MU days, since all their works were listed.. but now, if you visit the same pages, you can see half of their titles deleted..

One of the things I loved in MU is that it had a very detailed manga list, where you could find almost everything..
It's too sad that it is nothing like that anymore.. >_>

However, we will be following this policy for now. (Someone else decided, not me)
