kaname was adopted to the kuran family. rido (the uncle) probably was against that. yuki's parents probably picked him (kaname) up from somewhere and treated him like their own child but they also want him to be the successor so that their real child (yuki) would not be burdened with the responsibilities and danger that awaits her if there was any, like rido (the uncle) plotting to overthrow his younger brother (haruka) by killing yuki but has now changed or probably changing his plans by making yuki his bride (which is sick) maybe because his fiancee (shizuka) is dead. Yuki is definitely the key to all this. Her blood is probably something "special", like it could calm or soothe a vampire's lust for blood or something which would mean she can be a mediator for the vampires and humans. Because maybe her parents are just kind vampires who just wants to live in harmony with humans because they did contribute to the peace treaty.

i dont know if Kaname loves her as a man but i know he loves her as an older brother that would protect her little sister would coz he did say he wished he was her "real older brother". He probably loves her so much because she was kind to him and accepted him when he came to the family. Yuki is probably mixing her feelings of love with sisterly love for kaname which she forgot coz she did lose her memories. thats why she so attached to him. But if this does turn out to be incest, that's fine too. it adds flavor to the manga. hehe. but other people probably dont like it. even if they're not related by blood but if you're taken in, that makes you family. people probably have different interpretations to incest.

And why she said sorry? i could only guess that yuki loves zero but she made the deal to become kaname's lover so that she could know her past or something like that.

yeah, i agree with this too, except for some points.

i believe that kaname is a part of the kuran family, MAYBE even (dare i say it?) rido's son, because yuuki and kaname are not siblings, however kaname is still very much a pure blood, and pure bloods are cherished, so any vampire family would have been happy to take him in. and it's already been stated that there arent many pure bloods left, so to sever kaname's connection to yuuki's and erasing his lineage like that doesnt seem to suit the author's style to me, since they'd have to make a completely new family and background, which is kinda making things way more complicated than they should be. and the part about yuuki just needing [quote]kuran family blood[/quote] to bring her memory back kinda backs up my theory.

also, i think kaname is a kind of replacement to the kurans because they had already "lost" one child ("you bastard! taking away my child again!" - VK scans). i dont wanna really go all into that though, there's way too many possibilities at this point.

Chapter 35, brought the bar to the next level; between Kaname and Yuki and the whole plot of the series. Nothing could top what had happened in this chapter alone. The plot thickens and the back story of Yuki's childhood is coming to the light. Anything can happen.

oh god too many theories lol but it was a major twist when u think they're brother n sisters but the endin was an even bigger twist when he said he wished he was born as her real older brother meaning that they arent real siblings...so quite confusin but just gotta wait for the next chapter...oh god i loved the drawing of them kissing (i knw it wasnt a real kiss but watevs good enough for me) 🙂

I dunt know if anyone has said this before, but it kinda strikes me weird. I mean, why is Yuuki so special anyway? Rido seems to have his eyes on her and plus he mentioned something about how it didn't matter as long as kuran blood entered Yuuki's body. Well, if Yuuki was a Kuran, she would already have Kuran blood in her right? And why would Rido want Yuuki so badly? I mean there's other Kuran's to pick from such as Kuran Haruka and Kaname possibly. So my little theory is that maybe, Yuuki, not Kaname was the one adopted into the Kuran family. I'm guessing that to be special, she was probably the sole survivor of another pureblood lineage and that her abilities/power is what is hunted down by Rido. So no, I definitely don't think Kaname and Yuuki are "real" siblings, cos why would Rido be more interested in Yuuki than Kaname? :uhhuh: We don't need more incest in the world than there already is.

gah! im confused. really confused. anyways here's wat i think. u know when zero said that he sensed 2 vampires? i think he said that cause he knew kaname bit yuki and since zero thinks yuki is human while kaname is a pureblood, he thought that yuki turned into a vampire because of that XP or something like that. now for the end bit of the chap. u know how kaname says he wasnt her real brother? maybe its a typo thats supposed to say that he wished he wasnt her real brother, so he could love her, not as a sibling. well either that or either kaname or yuki was kinda um... adopted? i dunno. when juri said that she wouldnt let rido take another one of her childs away, maybe she was talking about kaname? as in, rido took kaname but then they somehow got him back but wasnt sure if that was their first child 😕 gawd my head hurts >< gah

I for one don’t think that they’re siblings. Maybe it’s my naive desire to keep the love triangle alive (as I don’t really like incest). But I believe rather that Kaname input those memories into Yuuki to make her stop asking what really happened. There are a lot of things to suggest that she’s not a Kuran. For one, we’ve already watched Zero suck Yuuki’s blood plenty of times, and Kaname said that it’s because he’s a pureblood Kuran that he’s able to delay Zero’s transformation. If Zero just needed Kuran blood, Yuuki’s blood should have been just as good. Just because you erase someone’s memories doesn’t mean you change their D.N.A. Also, Rido said something like “Which ever way it happens, that girl will have Kuran’s blood in her which is ok” But if she was already a Kuran then she would already have Kuran blood in her and Rido wouldn’t have to rely on Kaname giving her his blood. Another thing was, I can’t see why this outcome would make Yuuki hate Kaname as he had feared. So far as to what we’ve seen, it doesn’t seem like Kaname did anything betrayal like to Yuuki (this is arguable of course as it does somewhat look like his mother asked him to kill Rido her father?! It’s ALLL very confusing actually o_o lost in translation XD). If anything this would make her more attached to him. And lastly, this isn’t really a fact, but rather the smirk that Kaname shot Zero on the last page was kind of mischievous like “Haha, She thinks I’m her real brother instead of you whose just her fake brother. Haha I win.” Kind of look. BUUT maybe I’m just delusion and he really is her brother =( and that would make me sad T___T’’ cause I’m not into incest T__T having two brothers of my own. It’s really hard to stomach actually o_o’’

OHOH one more thing. Kaname keeps saying that he loves her the same way Zero loves her and I really don’t think Zero loves Yuuki as a sister. So unless Kaname is an incestual pervert (which I doubt) he must love Yuuki as a woman.

EDIT: I just read some posts that said the translation was wrong o_o my BIG LONG RESPONSE FOR NOTHING!!! LOLL!!! Ohh I guess that’s good o_o’’ I guess, not really sure what to make of it now.

Incorrectly translated? Really? If thats true then my whole life has just come crashing down (not really) but what else could I have thought to be true but was in fact incorrectly translated??!!?
