Can I get any stories where the male and female leads have to deal with pretty dark things before they can get together? I'm gonna list off some things that I wouldn't mind seeing, but they don't all have to be in one story:

Other guy is trying to steal female lead from male lead. Causes damage to the male and female lead's relationship.
The female lead is awful to the male lead. She uses and abuses him at first, but then falls for him.
The female lead is raped and the 2 have to deal with that.
The male or female lead is cheated on by their spouse before falling for each other.

I want a dark story, but a happy ending where the male and female end up together.

No cheating from either of the leads. If cheating is involved, they are the ones being cheated on.
No female lead falls for the male lead after he raped her or something.
I want them to be horrible and shit, but there to be a line. I read this one that was awful. One of the 2 male leads led the female lead into a trap where she's almost gang raped, but she still falls for him while also falling for her childhood friend. It ends with them "sharing" her. The childhood friend got screwed over imo. Not to that level.

only one i can think of is Sekai no Hate which is really really good, but for some reason the translations have stopped so I dont know if the ending is happy.

Sekai no Hate has a happy ending, if not at least bittersweet. They do end up together.

I liked Bitter Virgin okay. There's actually one page that ruins it for me at the end.

When after all is said and done. They have gone through all this terrible shit. They finally get together and then both have these thoughts that the other will find someone better than them eventually.
