There is a ASPCA commercial that makes me want to cry whenever it comes on...

With that Sarah McLaughlin song.

Arms of the Angel. We turn it off whenever it comes on because it makes my MawMaw cry.

Its so sad. Everyone I've talked to know exactly what commercial I am talking about... and most admit they've cried.

Its just... when that puppy comes up with only one eye...... thats what gets me. 😢

You know, I'm really weird when it comes to crying.

I cry when I read manga, watch movies or read books. They don't even have to be overly tragic or overly sentimental, because I start bawling over the silliest things.

But IRL... Never. Or rather, barely. I don't cry out or complain if I get hurt, I didn't cry at all when my sister moved out, and I barely shed a tear when both of my grandmas died (I tell myself this is due to the fact that they were both sick, so I expected it). I didn't cry when my pets died, either. I felt sad in all those situations, really sad, but no tears came out. It's like, if I'm actually involved, I can't cry over things, while I don't mind crying for movies and stuff.

I am soooo weird.

I'm like that, too. Whenever I tear up a bit (not too often), it's usually when watching a movie or something.
Otherwise, it's almost impossible to cry, even if I feel sad.
The worst thing is that sometimes, I don't even feel sad, though I know I should, and then I feel guilty. Then I feel stupid for feeling guilty.

Yeah I didn't elaborate much on my first answer but nowadays, I cry because of watching movies or reading books or watching documentaries (believe it or not) but when it comes to things that directly concern me I can't shed a tear...

I soo know how you feel pikku about feeling guilty for not feeling sad...

... Well, at least I'm not the only one that doesn't cry at funerals. I've tried to make myself cry, but it doesn't happen. However, when one of my cats got ran over in January, I cried. But then again she was born in my bedroom and had slept in my bed for the past seven years.

I rarely cry.
I don't know why, really.
Maybe I'm just not wired that way.
I only cry when I'm "keep punching 'till his/hers stupid face goes away"- mad, or when someone does something really nice for me.
Maybe I would cry if someone close to me died, but I have been really lucky so far.

I barely cry, it takes quite a bit in order for me to do so.

I went for other there. I would have prefered a sometimes option.

I mean, no, I'm not sensitive, but there are the occasional happenings where crying actually helps.
I don't see why people see crying as a bad thing as well. You know, it's ok to cry. Just don't overdo it XD

I cried a lot when I was younger but it has only made me a better person, I know how to vent out my anger and hatred and also ignore the little things a lot better. As my Dad once told me "Life is too short to worry about stupid things."

Crying in RL? lolwut

Actually I do cry a lot when I laugh at anime. Normally it's not the kind of laughs the show was hoping to get though.

There are only two instances in which I allow myself to cry: when a movie, songs, manga, etc. gets to me or when I'm being put down by my parents. Other times, I don't.

I don't really like to cry when I'm not supposed to. IMO, it shows weakness. In a fight, when I'm in pain, or when I'm mad...crying doesn't solve anything. So I'd rather just skip the tears and handle the situation like an adult.

Though, I believe crying is healthy. A couple months ago, I ended up crying like crazy because of all the emotional build-up my parents have caused me over the years, and it really felt refreshing. Afterward, I just felt happier. But still, I don't cry that much.

I get really sensitive and I feel like I'm going to cry a lot. I can stop myself from actually doing it when I'm in public, but I let it all go when I'm alone

I'm pretty sensible. I hate that whenever I get so angry that tears well up in the corners of my eyes in frustration and irritation. >:-( I do not like that happening! It makes me feel like I lost to the person I'm arguing with me or mad at and not to mention weak.

I don't like people looking at me cry so I do it in private like in my room or something. Then I get the heavy feeling of sleeping once I'm done.

Other.
Never in public or towards acquaintances/co-workers.
I think it was a few times in front of some close friends.

Things that made me cry are animals dying or leaving it's owner. I think that affects me the most T_T. I had many many pets when I was younger, and well, I still feel sad knowing the fact that they don't live as long as humans do. (Going off topic here, I saw a youtube video of Daigo Stardust and his penguin. ;___;, that was so sad.)

My tears well up for a lot of things. I forgot which shounen manga it was, but it made me well up with tears of happiness because the protagonist succeeded. =D

When I'm angry, I well up in tears. I hate it when that happens! But I feel this overwhelming pressure when I'm mad. ___
