ARCHIE GETTING MARRIED

Gah, I remember reading Archie back when the comics section of newspapers were actually normal-sized comic books and not full pages of newspaper, the way they are now. That changed sometime in the early-mid 80s, as I recall. I still have one or two of those floating around in my keep-sakes.
I also would have thought they'd pass the 600th issue a long time ago. It's been around so long...
If you've ever thought or said "Nice Guys finish last" and really meant it, then you should probably read this LJ post by DivaLion. It's incredibly insightful whether you're male or female.
From a bumper sticker I like:
"If you're gonna ride my ass, at least pull my hair."

I have always been a Veronica fan so I am happy if they actually get married but I don't think they will. The publishers will never end the love triangle. Something will definitely mess up Archie's plans or Veronica will refuse him for some stupid reason and the Love triangle will continue. But I think Archie and Veronica would be good together. Betty is the sweet next-door girl who's always been more of a friend to Archie. She deserves someone better than Archie anyways. Come to think of it, Mr. Lodge would never let Veronica marry Archie
Lolz yeah agree with all of you, Veronica's too much of a rich b*tch for her own good, so Betty's more .. stable & realistic for Archie.
Never liked Veronica.. Or Archie for the matter. So I guess the two goes well together.
But.. wow, Archie comics are like going on for decades now, and they still haven't ended it? - -
God, it's like the new Pokemon, comic form. -_-"

What? Why would Archie propose to Veronica? I always naively thought that the lesson of the series was that kindness is more important than money and beauty, leading Archie to choose Betty over her.
But, you know. It is pretty much an escapist series for 11-year-old boys. So.
Interesting how much Archie resembles a fanservicey harem manga series, hm? (=w=)
