New Poll - Finding New Series

This is a rather bad poll mainly because "main method" denotes you track how you find new series and/or you favor one method above others. Like for me, I use clickbait to decide if I want to look at a synopsis or summary (this is a main method). I also follow particular scan groups (another about equal method). Slightly less than either of those, I look at specific genres or categories. In my past, one of the main methods I used was personal recommendations from others. Reading new stuff from authors I like, read all the latest chapter 1, reading similar stuff to stuff I already like together about equal my main methods. If I would divide it up, probably 24% clickbait into summary, 24% follow particular scan groups, 20% trawl categories, 4% recommendations, 23% combo of authors, read new first chapters released, stuff "similar to I like" and last 5% other.

Sorry, I forgot about putting particular scanlation group releases as an option.
I also was aware people would want to choose more than one option but I didn't want 50 options to choose from and I also wanted to force people to pick a particular method, not just "All of the Above."
It's about as democratic as an FPTP election but I thought it'd be an interesting poll nonetheless.

Usually I pick new manga based solely off the cover art because I'm picky like that, but I only start reading after I've checked the summary and it sounds interesting.
So a combo of I look at those clickbait thumbnails or titles and I read the synopsis or summary and choose what looks interesting.

** I look for a series that fulfills specific categories or genres. Then I read the synopsis or summary and choose what looks interesting.**
Genre technically decides if I will read the book, and the summary decides how soon I will read the book.
You are now gazing at my signature. It's okay. There is no reason to feel ashamed for being amazed by it.

I usually only read series that have been completed, so I search through the new releases to see what chapters have been marked as ended. I also will do searches based on genres and categories and what is marked completed.
Combination of genres/categories + synopsis.

Where's the option for "art style"?
I, first and foremost, find new things to read based upon art style.
I'll typically look at the volume covers, flip through some pages, looking at both the art and character design, and decide if it looks good or not.
After that, I'll either start reading it, or look at the synopsis and decide if the story sounds interesting before I start reading.

Mostly finding new series here. Wrote TamperMonkey script to hide unintersting series (thousands of them), until their complete. As result, only checking several new series every day.
