I actually prefer not listening to music while reading manga. The same goes for when I read literature. I get easily distracted by music, especially because I love to sing along. 😳

When it's just one chapter I don't particularly pay much attention to the music playing, but when I start reading a long manga (+100 chapters) I like to leave a music I love associated to that manga. For Instance:

Id - read it while listening to only one song in a loop: GRANRODEO - Shanimuni. Don't really know why but the music and the song went along more than perfectly.
Kekkaishi - Read it while listening to Avenged Sevenfold - Nightmare, it wasn't a very good mix but it set the mood nicely so it was cool anyway.
D. Gray-man - Read it while listening to Access - Doubt & Trust which was another perfect mix.

And some others. I like to listen to music while reading manga and the music changes a lot depending on the type of manga I read.

i'll listen to mostly anything while reading manga but these particular songs set the mood/remind of these manga so i usually like to listen to them while reading.

D.Gray-Man - The Black Parade by My Chemical Romance

other than that there's no real specific choice for when i read manga. i usually just put on something quiet like haruka nakamura or other instrumentals.
