I really don't think there are as many bishies out there as people seem to think. Standards may vary, but most boys- no matter how good-looking, just don't cut it! I have met a couple in my lifetime, but was too stunned/awestruck to talk to them and just hid in a corner and thought 'kyaaa' like a typical fangirl! Right now, a major bishie (in my opinion) is the model Andrej Pejic- he's so androgynous! 😃

I don't think bishounen are that rare that there are people who haven't met any. I do know a few men with the feminine beauty to be called bishounen.
