I know the question is pretty vague so please don't state it; after all am only after opinions. thanks
What does it mean to be free?
Are you free?
Is anyone free?
do prisoners have freedom?
What do you think of choices people make?
Is America Really a land of the free?
Can you find freedom through religion?
Can you really have peace and freedom together?
Please stick with the topic as much as possible and if you feel the need to argue with some one do that in PM. thanks.
Can the truth really set you free?

Well, since you are using "Freedom" I have to answer, no (because that is the big freedom). There are concepts of what freedom is, rationalizations, but it isn't like they are widely known or accepted as truth. Now if you are asking if there is something we call freedom, yes there is, what is it, I'm not sure.
What idoes it mean to be free?
- I don't know.
Are you free?
- I can't say I'm for sure.
Is anyone free?
- If I can't say I'm free, how am I supposed to tell if another person is?
Do prisoners have freedom?
- Erm, you expect someone to say "yes" or everyone to say "no"?
What do you think of choices people make?
- Well, it's their choices, if you mean "Do you think people are free to make choices?" then, yes, in certain way, but there are restrictions too.
Is America Really a land of the free?
- I'm not american so I don't think my opinion would help.
People do say you can find freedom through religion, is this really true?
- I never heard that.
Can you really have peace and freedom together?
Why exactly do you ask this question? Do you think peace restricts freedom or freedom restricts peace?

Your freedom ends when the freedom of another persons starts.
You can dou anything you want but without steping on the freedom of the others, theres where your freedom ends

What does it mean to be free?
To be able to make your own choices. Edited; Without the fear of being punished.
Are you free?
No, not really.
Is anyone free?
Completely? No. Society restricts freedom. However, there is a more limited freedom(Where you can be free within the restrictions of society), and I think many people achieve that.
do prisoners have freedom?
No, not at all.
What do you think of choices people make?
In what way?
Is America Really a land of the free?
Well, the society is laxer then most, but I don't think anyplace is completely free.
People do say you can find freedom through religion, is this really true?
No. Religion is just another way to restrict freedom.
Can you really have peace and freedom together?
No. I don't think so. Society brings a measure of peace by restricting our freedom; I don't think its possible to have one without restricting or oppressing the other.

we are all capable of doing what we want atm, there are just risks of seviour punishments acording to the nature of what you choose your freedoms in.
You have it till it is taken> jail.
WRONG! The law opresess some freedoms never the less your still capable of murder, your still capable of doing anything irrational and getting away with it through loop holes (heres a way to kill your friend> loosen his gas valve before he goes to sleep, let him chock to death and leave no finger prince then leave him there for a mounth, with no friends or family they would never catch the culprit if you were careful that would be> murder>freedom). To not have freedom is to not be able to do anything like that or be capable of doing so.
The law deduces some freedoms but that is to let the smaller freedoms prosper...

You know, talking about this will bring nothing but headaches and wars.
The only true freedom is death.
Most people don't want to die. Does it mean they don't want to "be free"?

It's all in your head. What is interpreted as free is different for everyone. You can be free in your own opinion, but there isn't a universal "freedom" that everyone would agree on.

What does it mean to be free? -- it's the ability to decide what to do in all situations unhampered by others. It's basically the ability to do anything.
Are you free? -- Nobody in any society is truly free (thankfully) because there are laws. Laws govern our actions and force us to be socially acceptable - or else - (fines, jail or prison time, community service etc.)
Is anybody free? I answered that in the last question
Do prisoners have freedom? -- no, they don't have freedom. It is true that they have disregarded society's rules and expressed freedom, however, they loose the ability to make any decisions whatsoever when they are in jail/prison, so they are not free.
What do you think of the choices people make? -- I think that they can either be smart choices or stupid choices or the person had no idea what they were doing. People make choices based off of previous experiences.
Is America (really should be the west) a land of the free? -- I think that in a sense it is a land of more freedom. For instance, in Communist countries you don't have any choices about what you eat. I mean that people can decide to eat bread in the morning, but they can't choose what kind of bread. In western society, with capitalism, we can choose different kinds of bread to eat and different bread brands. (Capitalism has its cons but it does have its benefits too.)
People do say you can find freedom through religion, is this really true? -- It really depends on how you define freedom. I don't really know. For myself I find religion to be a set of rules of what you can do and what you can't do, however, for some, complete obedience to the rules of God in itself is freedom and salvation. I'm in the middle for this one.
Can you really have peace and freedom together? It depends on what peace is. People will always argue and dislike some of each other, but if you mean international peace, then it's possible, but it won't last long. I think that you can only have international peace if there is a strong, powerful and successful dictator that rules the whole world (Not happening). Since people's choice is taken away in this context, than freedom cannot coexist with peace.

Well everyone has an opinion on what freedom is, but there is always a correct one> a world wide definition.
you speak of the law contriving people but it doesn't do so proparly. You as a person are free to do whatever you like right now, your freedom can be taken from you-->however everybody is capable of doing whatever they like it's just a case of fear of what may happen.
The condition of being free; the power to act or speak or think without externally imposed restraints is one of them, so i can think of "comiting murdering and so forth without restraint". When i kill at that moment i am free.Think about it carefully...you are creating a cage that only exists in your mind.

What does it mean to be free?
Ride a superbike and you'll find out.
Are you free?
Depends on how hot she is.
Is anyone free?
It's relative.
The OP is free to post this question in the forum.
The mods are free to lock this thread whenever they want.
What do you think of choices people make?
Depends on the person.
Me choosing to post in this thread = Insignificant
You choosing to post a topic in this forum = Probably insignificant as well
Do prisoners have freedom?
They're free to reflect on their past actions as much as they want.
Is America really a land of the free?
Last time I checked, stuff still costs money in America, like in most other nations.
People do say you can find freedom through religion, is this really true?
They're free to make that statement.
I'm free to agree or disagree with them.
A person in a Taliban controlled village is free to agree or disagree with them as well (both choices still lead to death-by-AK47, but that's a different matter entirely)
Can you really have peace and freedom together?
Yes you can. Find a way to abolish currency and try to convince the world that marijuana smoking/growing is good for them.... Easy.

What does it mean to be free? that's a bit relative.
Are you free? i think so.
Is anyone free? that's a bit cumulative.
What do you think of choices people make? whatever as long as i don't bat clean-up for those who won't do for themselves.
Do prisoners have freedom? uh, do you want prisoners to have freedom?
Is America really a land of the free? personally, "land of the freer" works well enough that i've no plans to change my yankee citizenship.
People do say you can find freedom through religion, is this really true? maybe freedom from decision, but many affiliations offer that, and none of that is necessarily bad.
Can you really have peace and freedom together? well, the big economy size is probably harder to find.
