All the people who say that are retarded...
this manhua is in chinese... the author has probably never even read kenshin....
it's just a coincidence. The author made many references to Rurouni Kenshin in the novels, as well as Street Fighter and KoF. The whole funny thing about Prince is that she tried to use techniques from fighting games and anime into the MMO, instead of sticking with the ol' hack n' slash formula of MMORPGs. And it turns out, it went better than expected.
Stop being retarded if you have no idea what you are talking about and just not post.
+1
The author made many explicit references to Kenshin as a manga character and actually had Prince finding it incredible that the programmer for half life was also a Rurouni Kenshin fan; one of Prince's best techniques (the 9-consecutive-slash attack... whatever they call it in the scanlations) was also taken from the mangas, and Prince was worrying that Kenshin would recognize the technique she just took and used without asking.
Well, really, I was quite disappointed that the artist didn't seem to recognize the reference and went for a separate tack...
And if anyone's wondering, the 'lover' refers to 薰 (not sure what the romanization is)... and the novels refer to her by name; they never actually call her Kenshin's 'lover' as far as I remember.
It's not the the artist didn't recognize the Rurouni Kenshin manga, it's just that he had to blur everything out for the sake of avoiding copyright infringement.
I'm not sure how the Taiwanese copyright laws differ between novels and manhua, but it's highly unlikely the artist changed it up because he didn't recognize the reference; the novel made it very clear. For example, the artist deliberately took out a line from Kenshin's scar, even though the novel pointedly described him with a cross-shaped scar.
A katana came stabbing at my chest. I flipped through the air and as soon as I landed on the ground, I somersaulted backward to Jing and Yun’s side. Grimacing in pain, I clenched my wounded left hand, blood spilling from between my fingers. I did not dare to take out a health potion, however, because I knew that as soon as I moved to do so, the person standing across from me with the frosty, piercing gaze – Himura Kenshin – would definitely take the opportunity to attack.
*That’s right! The mob across from me with that head of red hair, the cross-shaped scar, and that rurouni outfit is DEFINITELY the *battousai. This is rather unexpected; looks like the Nine-headed Dragon Strike that I had plagiarized has finally met its owner. He won’t sue me for plagiarizing, right? I broke out in cold sweat.
Yun helped Jing to sit up, and shouted, “Dàgē, he’s the demon king, be careful!”
What? The battousai is the demon king? Don’t tell me that the demon maiden I killed earlier was Kaoru?
For him to miss a reference that clear would take some seriously overlooking. And it's only basic information regarding Kenshin, so it's also very unlikely that the artist purposely changed the script just because he never read Rurouni Kenshin and didn't have time to "research" it.
