@ Nightswan: you are quite good, especially the most recent one, I hope you keep it up 🙂
I just remember seeing some works that a just really striking, not just the one that are scarily detailed or beautiful, but also the ones that are different. I remember this one double spread recently in Soul Eater that had messy black brush work on a white background, and I just though it looked really cool.
Sometimes it is something as simple as charcter designs or even when they do odd things with panels or speech bubbles. I like to pay attention so that I learn how to do things. I still have alot to learn in terms of art.
I have a deviantart account, but beware, there is some Soul Eater fanart because I was into it at that point of time, just so you are warned: auro-cyanide.deviantart.com

NightSwan, great drawings!
Of course, marga is expiring... composition, viewpoints, panoramas, stylization... I do draw, but I can't make a decent comic style. Besides it's not just the matter of drawing. You also must make a plot and render that plot.
I'm fond of art like in 'A Funeral Procession of K' and 'Blue Heaven'.
I noticed quite a lot 'slice of life' series' characters try to draw, go to art lessons or want to be a mangaka. And talks like 'artist's soul is enscribed in his pictures, express the atmosphere, the meaning etc.' I consider annoying. There's no way a teacher would say something like that.
