As jar as the mangas are concerned, I must go with Vagabond. It's more graphic, doesn't have any battles with morality, he just goes out and follows his destined path. I would have to say Trust and Betrayal are definitely on par with Vagabond though.

...there are battles wwith morality lol what the hell are u tlking about

i really liked kenshin and i was in an internal conflict, but eventually i gave into the fact that this was a battle b/w which manga i liked more and not directly aimed at comparing the lead characters .

and thus i cast my vote for

vagabond

I Didn't really like either all that much, but I liked Vagabond a LOT more then Kenshin, so Vagabond FTW.

vagabond, kenshin's plot is not bad, but I dont like the unrealistic battle.

Why would you vote if you didn't read both?

I'd have to say Vagabond by a little bit.

It seems people relate more death with more realism. I'd admit that when someone gets a hole blown in their chest, they shouldn't be able to get back up( let alone win a fight.)
The story that centers around Vagabond is going to be filled with death, while Kenshin's may seem childish because its idealistic.

But other than that, you can't tell me that the sword play in Vagabond is better than it is in Kenshin.

This is a kind of apples and oranges thing, since aside from the fact the protagonists are samurai living around the same time period in Japan, they are different in a bunch of different ways, so I can't really compare the two. I'll go with Vagabond since it's realistic (ie. no flashy fights that consists of special techniques), the story is awesome, and the art is fantastic. Though Kenshin is very good in it's own right.
