this question is dedicated to people who're still in school....i myself procrastinate almost on everything...usually, i wait 'til the last day, thinking that there's always enough time...i just can't resist the temptation of reading manga, watching drama, or playing games on the computer, therefore, when i have any project to do on my comp, it's quite fatal for me, since i always get distracted in midway...in fact, i just got on my history mag project today, when i had about a month to finish and the due date is tomorrow...is it just me, or when you have to hurry to do something, you suddenly have all these 'brainwaves' that makes you think of stuff faster and more creative than when you have plenty of time to do it....i feel like when i wait 'til the last minute, i can push to my limits and produce higher quality work than when i leisurely work on it....what do ya think?

You gotta wait for the last few hours before somethings due or else its just not the same. Its like eating breakfast at 6pm.

It depends on what it is really. If it's a huge paper which counts a lot towards my final grade, then I start it early and gradually work my way through it. Otherwise, it's a night-before job always.

Note: "alot" is wrong, "a lot" is the right word.

I know exactly what you're talking about Cerulean. I used to always wait till the day before, but nowadays tho I usually start at least 2 days before. I got tired of all the all-nighters and what not.

What I find most interesting is the type of productivity you can conjure when you're procrastinating. I've even made up my own rule:

"if you don't have anything you need to do, then you don't have anything you'd rather do, which means that you really have nothing to do. i'm more productive when i have stuff that i don't want to do to do."

yeah i mean if i didn't have an 85% average I would be doing my homework like right away but since I do do good in school without having to work for it I keep procrastinating. I know I have to stop once I enter my final year of high school though.

Back in high school I used to do my homework right away. In fact, I usually finished them before school let out for the day. Now I wait till a day or two before the due date. I even do that for studying for midterms and finals. It's a wonder I've managed to keep a B average. dead

It's called becoming an adult. Yeah, once you pass this young adult age, you tend to slack off. biggrin
