I'm a huge procrastinator. In high school, I was a writer & editor for the newspaper and I'd always wait until the morning my articles were due to finally write them. ...that really sucked for me since my first class of the day was Journalism.

I always used to do the same thing whenever I had papers to write. I'd start them the morning they were due (I'd get up around 4:00am to begin working on them).

I'm the type of person that works far better under pressure, though.

I'm like that, too. Even though I have about 3-4 months to work on a term paper, I always do it on the morning before. And I, too, always feel that my assignment suck.

But, well, I've studied for my Leaving Cert just few hours before the actual exams...

I procrastinate a lot, and if there were marks for that, I'm sure I'd be at top of class.

A little something for fellow procrastinators

I always wait til the last day to do my programming assignments. I'm working on my final year or college and it's carried me this far.

I remember once I put off my assignments and on the final day I came down with the flu, so eventually it does tend to blow up in your face. 🤨

I pretty much always procrastinate unless I have an unbearable workload, in which case my "get things done" mode goes on and suddenly it's several hours later and all of my homework for the next few days is done. This usually occurs late at night.

My favorite procrastination story is that I procrastinated a seven minute speech (my US history final) that was supposed to include visual aids and the like until during the class period it was due. Somehow I ended up going last and went on a rant about dollar diplomacy for seven minutes and got full credit and an A in the class. I was really confused, and maybe lucky, I guess?

Same here. For stuff like reading assignments and homework I have a "get it done with to do fun stuff later" mindset. For papers and projects it's a "do fun stuff now and then get paper/project done when I have to or I'm %$#@ed" mindset. Some teachers have tried to prevent procrastination for papers and the like by trying to check stuff like outlines and rough drafts, but most people I know just procrastinate on those things and then wait until the day before the next part of the project is due to do anythings else.

Hellz yeah. I still havent turned in a rather valuble assignment in my AP Environmental Science class (the most BS AP course in existence). It was due like monday and I thought, Ill do it in first period, then it came class time and I hadnt started, and well I only loose 10 points for each day late so I kept saying I was going to do it in first period, or at like 12 AM or some other time when Im doing nothing else, and I still havent gotten to it yet.

I have learned that I will put off doing an assignment for over 3 days just to read the news in my first period class instead.

That sounds almost like something I would do, though I would do all the work for something like that the last night its due, but Im so lucky, my name as towards the end of the alphabet, so any teacher just going down the roster, will always have me go last. 😀

I hardly ever even did my homework.

But if I did, it was the class period before it was due. Or the morning it was due while at home whilst brushing teeth and putting on shoes/watching buffy.

Doing it right now, as well. Should be getting my ultra-important first draft of my history topic essay done, but...
