I'm looking for manga where the main character has bodily scars. Either their torso is covered in them, or they have a few big ones.

I'm not looking for the fantasy-ish kind of manga where the character would be a warrior. I'd rather the scars be from an accident, operation/surgery, or beating the character had. It would also be good if the character were selfconscious about them.

An example would be like the main character from Girls saurus

If you haven't seen the best scar thread, that might help.

I suggest Rurouni Kenshin.

If you're looking for shoujo, then perhaps the Tail of the Moon Prequel: The Other Hanzo.

I'm Not looking for "battle wound scars". I'm leaning more towards scars from abuse, an accident, or surgery.

What I'm bringing to mind is psychological yaoi (e.g. Cut), so not sure if you're interested.

I think the Tail of the Moon Prequel: The Other Hanzo was due to an accident.

I know I've read a couple of stories of surgery scars, but I can't bring them to mind right now.

The main chick in Limited Lovers has scars all over her disabled legs.

Sometime in the middleish-end she becomes extremely conscious of it.

Not a main character, but Usui's dad in Karin has a scar from an accident. It's funny how he got it, too. xD

Tsukikage-sensei in Glass Mask had half of her face destroyed when a stage light fell on her while acting. She's a major character.
