When I first got into manga, I would've said extremely. It felt weird if I didn't read any manga in a day. Now, I can go a week or two without reading anything. It's still important to me, but I wouldn't consider myself addicted or an otaku anymore.

I've stayed at the level of option #2 ever since I started. It never became an obsession, but manga has been an essential component of my one and only hobby - reading - for over 5 years. I don't think I'll ever get to the state in option #1 or fall below #3, but...who knows? Only time will tell.

Very! I crave it, but a day or two without it won't hurt. Though if situation calls for it, I can go on for months. But, it depends on the level of situation.
When I was younger, it would be closed to Extremely. It was on the level of situation. But, as you grow up you got to move on and change your habits. And it that process many other things takes some space out of it.

Not that important. 2-3 years ago I would have definitely picked the first option.
Now I'm reading only one manga (Noblesse).
I guess with age your preferences change...now I focus on wuxia/xianxia novels more.
I prefer video-games and US comics but i wouldn´t be here if i didn´t care about manga/anime. Let´s go with Very! (for all of my hobbies). One can go a day without food + water without real repercussions after all.
Edit: The barely there numbers for not that important surprise me a bit.
I also read EU/US comics and am a librarian.

I go with the so-so option. I can pretty much survive without manga for three weeks and I only read a few updates once in a while. Life has it hard on me; I barely have time to look at myself in the mirror 🤢
So-so for sure. It's gotten to the point now where I'm only reading a few series that are still going. Certainly not looking to start reading anything new. I know I haven't been keeping up with all the releases for the series on my reading list as well haha.
My life has become very busy. I don't have time like I used to when I was in my teens. There was a time when I would have chosen the first option, but those days are long gone.

I wish the choices were worded better. Very still sounds a little obsessive and every once in a while makes it sound like you might read a manga a few times a year at most if you happen to trip over something interesting. How important is it? Not as important as food or the rent. How much time or if its my most important "hobby" is a different question. Years ago it was definitely Very to Extremely so it was high on my hobby list, but still not number one. Now I would say I read regularly but not as much quantity as I used to and its still not my number one hobby. So, since there isn't something between obsessive and barely reading any, I'll pick the lesser of the two and go with so-so even though I think its a little more important than that category.
I'm at that point in my life where I honestly don't care for manga anymore. Lol. I usually stop by this site just for the forums.

Some years ago I thought I would forever be addicted to manga, but now with the passage of time, the increasing responsibilities of adulthood, and my own maturity, I find that I no longer require manga to such an extent as before. Previously MU was my homepage and I would check it several times a day, but sometimes I don't check it for 2-3 days (which is still quite frequent), but there are only a handful of titles that really excite me.
It's sort of sad how manga has been like a best friend for the past decade and now I'm increasingly spending less time with it.

Even though I visit MU daily, probably even multiple times a day, there's very few series I follow regularly. If I'm not currently immersed in a particular book or (since recently) a light/web novel, I'll probably catch up on the backlog of the releases for some of the series I'm following. Otherwise, I'll stick to the written word. Mostly because it's more "portable" and doesn't eat up much data on my mobile (if any).
You can PM me if you need a temporary (freelance) cleaner/redrawer for some project. Especially if it's something with nice art.
Being the lazy person that I am, I'm not likely to accept anything long-term though.

So-so... I enjoy it every once in a while
I practically visit MU everyday too, but like others have repeated, I don't find manga that much important to my life anymore like I used to feel when I was in high school. I think I pretty much read everything I had been aiming to read, although I admit that there are some more series worth noting to see.
I still maintain a sizable manga collection in my library though. 😃

For me it's become a habit since it's entertainment I can get in a very brief amount of time compared to anime, tv shows, and movies not to mention the youtube rabbit hole...It's a controlled form of entertainment/break from school stuff and work. when I'm on break from school, so-so/not that important.

I'm the first option, although going by the responses above me, it seems that there's definitely a correlation between age and interest. I'm guessing in a few years I'll be choosing the second option 😃 .
