This is posed a bit insensitively and its a subject that is pretty much irrelevant. However I'll risk it and pose the question anyway for the sake of exploring the subject.

Which is gayer? The role of uke or seme?

I know both are homosexual and therefore gay. However I was wondering, in the "spectrum of gay" which was considered "Gayer".

If you think about it, the seme retains the "masculine" position durring sex. While the Uke takes up the "recieving position" "normally" held by women.

So if "gayness" was a matter of their sexual disposition being the opposite of what would regularly occur in this sense the uke would be "gayer".

But then again, since the seme chooses to have sex with another man, thats a more active role than the uke. Even if they both wanted it, in this sense since the seme is the "aggressor"(couldn't think of a better word) the seme could be considered "gayer".

So in the end is one gayer than the other, or are they both equally gay, just in different ways.

THIS IS THE QUESTION THAT HAS PLAGUED ME SINCE I BEGAN MY EXISTENCE.

I usually settle with seme, because he's usually the only one who actually wants to have sex with a man.

Seme because usually in most yaoi the uke doesn't even want to be w/ a guy in the first place and it's the seme who's so damn desperate to get in his pants. :-|

In real life tho both.

depends on the manga (sometimes the uke doesn't want to have sex with a man and is coerced into it, sometimes the seme is embarrassed and confused about wanting to having sex with a man, etc.) but just generally I chose that they're equally 'gay' if all we're talking about is attraction or the act of sex. Being a man yourself and wanting to have/enjoying anal sex with another man is just all-around gay, regardless if you are the one 'giving' or 'receiving' imo.

He's using it in jest, too, as made completely obvious by the content of his sentence. It's an applicable literary use in satire as it brings forth the basic absurdity of the topic.

And I'm pretty sure we can all agree a gay man is just as homosexual, whether he prefers stabbing his partner with his shining sword, or being stabbed.
