well i'm not the person who started it...but if you wanna relate it to manga i'll just state one thing...death note...

school massacres creep the hell outa me...thats why i have the closest seat to the door in all my classes and keep an eye on everyone who looks a bit off in all my classes o.0...I think Columbine was the worst because of how it was exagerated. Not to say people dieing is insignificant because those lives were hela valuable...but i don't really think that kind of event really needed nationwide attention. Most ethnic highschools allready had metal detectors so security really ain't change much for the "hood". I do think it smacked some sense into the suburbian supreme schools. It's funny when you live in Ma because you get to see public high schools that look biger than colleges and others that look like a prison...especially because of all the bars
