I'm good at nice hearty meals, since I'm of French Canadian stock and I can bake a mean cookie, cake or brownie. Just don't ask me to cook or bake anything delicate. I will ruin it like no tomorrow.

let's just say.. the last time i tried to cook something from scratch i almost burned the house down and cut myself...

I've never burnt anything (at least not much) and it's not a problem for me to make something edible from a new recipe. I just can't get myself to cook everyday. Too boring...
It's fun only when I'm cooking with some of my friends, or when I'm trying to make something new.
I'm competing with Layhe in making soba dishes, but as we live in different countries, we can't compare the effects of our cooking

Yes I can cook, all the guys in my family can cook. I just one of the better ones. However I can magically dissappear during Thanksgiving and Christmas dinner prep.

I can cook alright, but I've found that I'm better at baking (need to beat those eggs stiffer, though). Cakes, cookies, muffins, pancakes...I'm good at that stuff. But I've never tried baking anything delicate. Hmmm. My goal this winter is practice my soups and sushi.

I can cook fairly well. Mix a few things together, add oil, hope it doesn't burn, etc. And I can bake, but that's about it.

hehe... reminds me of my uncle.

When I first started learning to cook I found out it was possible to burn water, no joke, now I can make a few decent meals, fajitas, spaghetti and a pretty good lemon chicken.

I can cook just about anything. I've cooked taiyaki and kushidango to tamales and menudo. I'm cooking a deer roast right now actually. My family comes in sniffing the air to see if I'm cooking something and then sit down "just to chat" while they wait for me to finish cooking.

Love to cook. Making a pot roast in the oven right now. I also bake a lot for my co workers, who swear I have a baking demon. I made them a peanut butter cake with peanut butter buttercream and it was gone before I finished a 8 hour shift.
