All I can say is that I'm at least pleased to see Akainu getting his ass whooped, that and Blackbeard shows up with a few more crewmates of his own at the end of this chapter.

I wonder: following this arc, how will this affect Luffy, in term of personality and views on the Marines?

It probably won't be answer for a long while, since this manga is taking a break.

Anywho, whitebeard is damn beast. Kind of makes me wonder why he didn't fight like that from the beginning against Aokiji and Kizaru.

Considering that the new members are considered to be history's worst criminals from Level 6 of Impel Down, it'll take a lot of careful planning to take them down.

That, and Luffy needs more than just his Haki if he wants to face them in the future.
