I believe writing a rushed ending that doesn't really follow the rest of the manga IS a cliche. We shouldn't forgive bad writing.

This is the most contradictory thing I've ever heard. How the fuck was it obvious from the start, if we learned about it now?

i feel now like it was obvious from the start. If you think this is contradictory, - ok. i don't care)

Hahaha, yes you do. You cared enough to respond.

Think about what you said for a second. "You feel now that it was obvious from the start." That means it wasn't obvious from the start. That means you waited for the author to hand you the reasoning.

Let's say you have two choices. You are unsure what to pick, so you just randomly pick one. After picking, you realize that it was obvious you should have picked the other one in the beginning. Except it wasn't obvious from the start; it's obvious now. Again, it's obvious in retrospect, but not in foresight. You mixed the two together, making it contradictory.

Back on topic, I realize you can't foreshadow everything and not everything needs to be foreshadowed. But with things so integral to plot? This author is in general terrible at it.

It's like that stupid shit with Tae. "She arbitrarily at this point in the story, married." And yet prior to that reveal, she's done, or more broadly, the story has done, absolutely nothing to suggest that. That means your making shit up as you go, and you didn't properly plan out the story.

I just got shocked by the latest surprise, and pissed.

I must say, though, that ugly surprises are part of life. Has no one out there ever fallen with a girl who seems to respond, only to discover weeks later the devastating truth--that she picked the other guy, a perfect dweeb, whom she met at the same time she met you?

Then there's the job you were for sure going to get, then they hire someone else at the last possible second; the brand new car you loved dearly--until it was totaled a week after you drove it off the lot; etc., etc.

The author is cutting close to the bone. He's setting up situations where this handsome but childish guy has to develop some guts to get and keep people he loves and things he wants. Admit it, that makes an awful suspenseful story!

This manga is not over, and I expect a roller coaster ride from now on. I hope to God he's not stupid enough to reject or dither away Haruka, if she ever gets the nerve to confess.

i wish i stopped reading this manga at just the part when taeko was married to the old guy. This main character has an even worse experience later on, that actually made me stop reading and lie on my bed for a while feeling like shit (first time this has ever happened even with stuff like NTR manga, I was pissed at taeko but didn't care that much to put it in perspective). I'd probably end up suiciding if I were him, given that all his things to fall back on were forcibly taken away from him, his best friend betrays him constantly, the landlord leads him on to fuck him over so unnecessarily (seriously, a fucking 50 year old guy telling him that theres a huge barrier for him to cross if he wants to fall in love with taeko while knowing full well that its impossible for anything to start between the two), the fact that he doesn't have much going in his life at all being a otaku and all, fuck, I hate ranting because it makes me sound bitchy, but fuck, the author built up a happy slice of life manga and then brought fucking chaos on JUST THE MAIN CHARACTER, while everyone else has a happy conclusion, only one here who gets fucked over is the protagonist.

the problem is that 99 percent of the time this isn't that kind of manga. This would be as if Kimigure orange road had a chapter with NTR, and then went back to normal. After the first messed up revelation I continued with the manga hoping it would never screw up that badly again.

The lady was a bad mother. Regardless of what her motivation, intent, or feelings to her kids. She was a bad person out of stupidity. And she seriously hurt her daughter too.

And how much more messed up would her daughter had been if the guy had committed suicide because of her mother screwing his life up.

I'm not stopping, I'll wait till its all over before finally judging it as a whole. But the way it was all presented and revealed was almost disturbing(purposely, making it rather cheap). If the writer would rather go write something like Arigatou then he should have done that in the first place and made it shorter.

*This isn't about how he thought a girl liked him but she didn't. This is that a girl had very simple problem that has happen to EVERY SINGLE HUMAN BEING. She took that problem and made a black hole that ruins lives. She could have just gotten over her crush but instead she dragged someone else, didn't use contraception, and had a child. And she wasn't any more careful the second time. Not to mention the smaller things like not telling the fathers.

And if you think its realistic, we know from that other instance this manga did this shit that the fallout certainly won't be. The whole "I didn't hate my mother I was just jealous" despite what a bad mother she was. Guess this manga has this bad mother theme.

That twist was just a load of gatdamn hogwash
The way it was handled too was just... frustrating... like I'm reading thru the manga going "dude just like shout out THE F**K IS GOING ON HERE?!?! WHAT THE SHIT??!?!?!"
that twist was the beginning of the manga just going into a weird and dark place that really wasn't the original feel of the manga...

It got so bad at the end that I was hoping for incest just so there would be ONE person who loved this poor man. This manga will crush your soul if you hold any expectations at all.

Also, while I found nozomis odd jobs funny at the time, I wish a bear had eaten that stupid &$*%#.

Good point.... but idk why she expected him to be so trusting after getting his heart ripped apart. Overall we can say It wasn't even remotely possible due to her timing, and his first gf deserve to be tortured to death.

What manner of bullcrap is this??!!
I just finished reading!
Why is Kouta so unlucky...and why does Nozomi insult him for being an Otaku? She's the reason he became that way...!

The story goes seriously downhill after Tae and Souske's marriage revelation

All in all, I have come to hate this manga...but that's just my opinion; to each his own 🤢
